Fellow New Yorker, Yankees are garbage. Sorry but Mets plow the road. Yankees bought those world series, Mets and everyother team earned there world series.

whats wrong with u man, the Yanks earn their victories just like everyone else. By the way if the Yankees suck why did they win 26 times? I dont see the Mets putting up those numbers

In about 40min (if it doesnt get rained out like yesterday, because rain is in the forecast tonight also) the last opening day ever in the "House That Ruth Built" will be played. Unfortunately tickets were sold out since last year, and I wasn't able to get my hands on any, not even Bleacher Creature seats. Right now its sunny here in the city with a few clouds as I look out my window and its 66 degrees, hopefully it stays this way for the game.

The Yankees win their last opening day/night game here at Yankee stadium. The Yanks won 11 strait opening games, beating the previous record for most consecutive opening day games won which was previously held by the Pittsburgh Pirates. This was truly a historic game, Joe Girardi got his first win as a Yankee manager. The game was truly a great one. It all started off with a RBI double for A-Rod driving in Abreu for a run. Than Melky Cabrera makes 2 great catches in a row, on at the wall, and one dive catch in mid center field. He was on fire. Its get even better, after the side was retired due to Melky's unbelievable 2 catches, he comes up to bat right after Robinson Cano, after Cano grounds out Melky digs in. He hits a homerun right down the right side, just over the wall tieing the game. Than Giambi does some great base running allowing another run to come in giving and RBI to Cano. That score would stay, once 3-2 Yankees, Final. All and all Wong pitched ok, not stellar, he was hit hard but the Yankees had good defense today especially with Melky. What a game! Im really going to miss this stadium at the end of this year

Joba Chamberlain makes his first start as a Yankee. How do you think he will do as a starter? I think if he does well he is the key to get the Yankees back in gear!
