Unfortunately, they are copyrighted. Whoever takes the image owns the copyright. Since we're creating an open source (free as in speech, not beer) Encyclopedia, we have to be very strict about this.

Fair use only applies when an adequate free alternative could not be created. This is why for some images like album covers we can invoke fair use, since a free alternative could not be created.

Well maybe you could ask Julien or whoever you think owns copyright on that picture out on the street this morning to see if you could use that one.
