Oh I love books...
some of my favourites... I guess I'll miss a lot... Harry Potter 1-7 by JK Rowling Twilight-Saga by Stephenie Meyer --> definitly my favourite books!!! But to be honest Stephenie Meyer can't really beat Mrs. Rowling! I mean the Love Story from Twilight is awesome (and a girl thing I guess but HP is a much more complex series... other favourites (no ranking): Travel around the world in 80 days by Jules Verne The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón Angela's Ashes, 'Tis and Teacher Man by Frank McCourt Nowhere in Africa / Somewhere in Germany by Stefanie Zweig All Quiet on the Western Front and The Road Back by Erich Maria Remarque* Naked Among Wolves by Bruno Apitz* (people shall never forget) The Diary of a Young Girl/Anne Frank* *(I don't know how popular are these books over in the US...) Brave New World by Aldous Huxley 1984 by George Orwell Making history by Stephen Fry Atonement by Ian McEwan (I was so depressed after I finished it... I cried 10 minutes) The Cider House Rules by John Irving Lord of the rings, The Hobbit I also like the Sherlock Holmes' stories and a lot of novels by Agatha Christie... And believe it or not... I like Faust by Goethe... and Romeo & Juliett by Shakespeare is good too... I started right now with "About a boy" (I try to read it in english)... and after this I'll read Kite Runner

i suggest all of you to check out Michael Crichton.
hes the guy who wrote the books for Jurassic Park, Congo, and is also the creator of ER. his more modern book is about Global Warming. its a fiction novel, but has some intresting facts, and he never really shows if he believes in global warming, but doesn't deny it either. very neutral writing.

Way in the old corners of the forum, from 2007, there is a thread about Lolita here: http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/show...nabokov+lolita I'd like to read Douglas Hofstadter's "Gödel, Escher, Bach". It's been on my queue for longer than I care to admit. |

I used to be an avid book reader of sorts, but now I'm into audiobooks.
Three of the books that I'm currently listening to in my ipod: • Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - By Dr. John Gray • Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare - Narrated by Michael Sheen & kate Beckinsale • Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov - Performed by Jeremy Irons
