Well me eating healthy is not a question of a high metabolism or trying to lose weight. Being an Asian guy, I have a rather high metabolism, and gaining weight is what's difficult for me. It's just that most people don't realize that what you eat is just as much as part of your workout as the workout is.

What's the point of tearing up and burning up your body if you're not going to fix it? Know what I mean?

I've never tried any power lifting, being a smaller guy.

The whey protein helps a lot in recovery, though it only covers a portion of the recovery. While protein is what makes the muscle, it's carbohydrates that build them up too. Speaking of which, the worse the protein tastes, the better it is. If it tastes good, it means they added lots of sugar, chocolate or vanilla flavoring. (The protein bars that I eat... gross as hell! Though the protein powder that I take, Body Fortress, isn't too bad at all.)

And Barrett, abs are also one of the few muscle groups that you can work out every day too! Though of course, a rest every once a while is needed too to ensure that the muscle rebuilds and you're not just repeatedly breaking it down.

I inherited a taste for Korean food, black hair, and a temper from my Dad's side...

From my mom's side... an Irishman's belly, lots of hair, and a temper...

the one thing i strongly disagree with are to ignore some of the programs. the good ones (and there are few) target everything your body needs and workout areas that you normally wouldnt think about.

There's really no such thing as a bad workout. As long as you're moving, sweating, and getting tired, you're doing something right.

To each his own. I personally prefer working out on my own, but some people like the work out videos.

Can't really say that either one is bad.

How long have you been doing this?
Yes, these are incredibly enjoyable and are pretty challenging. I've been doing them for 72 days (every day since I started). I did aerobics regularly for about 10 years prior to that. I started when I was 12 from DVDs and then I took classes for a few years and a year ago I started teaching a class myself.

PM if you want to get DVDs without.. buying them.

yeah, the bottom abs are the hardest. I don't particularly enjoy working on them, but capoeira takes care of that for me

I like Dr. Pepper cherry, but I haven't had that in 8 months! Aspartame is really really nasty.

I like the work out videos, but the only time I "work out" on my own is when I dance. Dancing is a great work out and I can dance for hours. oohh and uh swimming as well.

Hahaa, wouldn't you like to see?

Though actually, if other people are willing to, it would be nice to keep this thread going to posting updates, pictures, advice, and such here.

I mean, once I get going, I wouldn't mind showing off.

Lemme start then.

Like I said, got a blob I gotta get rid of.

(By the way, when I wear long sleeves, I look a lot smaller. Do not be fooled by my dress manipulations )

You want me to punch you? What blob do you speak of?

Looking good there though, very nice!
(I would add a smiley face, but that might send the wrong message..)

You don't see my fervent love handles?
Might be a wrong angle but they do exist, and I will eliminate them!
