Yes ,the world is unfair... and according to my calculation if she only sticks to mexico , Alizée will risk losing 80% of her income and some of her french fanbase deciding to leave france would probably be the final blow to her career.

That already happened, at least once. Psychedelices promo was specially focused on Mexico and the album achieved a 'Golden Record' (+40'000 copies) and a Luna award. Despite a good start, the album didn't get good numbers in France. Now we can see how difficult it is for non fans to recognize Alizée's music.

Yes the French are Phony and arrogant and narrow minded and etc.....

However their woman are really hot. Except for the ones that slam McBurgers, Starbucks and American junk food.

I don’t know, I think people are more or less the same around the world after allowing for cultural differences, and everyone has their fair share of phonies. Governments often take the stance of protecting the culture, language and heritage of their country, but the average person on the street will listen to what they want to listen to, and eat what they want to eat. Government positions don’t always reflect the positions of the people. Of course the people also have differing thoughts and feelings on a lot of subjects, whether they are in agreement with their government or not.

I guess I just don’t like to paint a whole country full of people with such a broad brush. I’ve seen often enough where people do the same thing with regards to Americans. I just think it’s an oversimplification of reality.

Please keep the bashing to a minimum or simply just drop it. Everybody has opinions, doesn't mean you gotta post them all.

But back to topic. Fandom set aside. Which version do you guys prefer?

Alizée's ?

Jenifer's ?

I honestly can't make up my mind... I think both are cool , but Jenifer's version is "funkier" .

edit:

I think Jenifer's album gonna be a huge success... knowing how MASSIVE the bugdet of her music videos is , I think that when the music videos of these two songs will come out she's likely to remain in the top 3 of the charts for at least a week.

( I suspect some autotune though)

Where did you here that? I read many years ago that her mother was from the Côte d'Azur and her dad was Corsican. Well I guess she could also have Sicilian origins but then again so could you and I.
