The restriction of credit cards is done of the site's end, not the credit card. It's a shame publishers are still in a pre-internet mindset and like to restrict what countries can get content.

Computers still have to worry about region restrictions, though it's still easier than TV due to PAL/NTSC stuff.

Not sure what sites you're referring to, deanej, because the only time I've had trouble ordering from overseas has been with mp3s and video games. Physical Alizée merchandise has never been a problem, and so far all her DVDs have been region free, so yeah it's just a PAL/NTSC format issue if you want to play them on TV. It's past midday in France though, and still no sign of a pre-order, so I'm kind of skeptical it's gonna happen. But if it does, I'd be very surprised if international ordering wasn't an option.

Yeah, it's not looking good: it's almost 7:30 pm in Paris as I write this, and even if they were waiting until Mexico woke up as some folks have suggested, it's already after noon there.

Looks like either Julien may have been wrong on this one, or it was a deliberate attempt to spark/gauge interest.

I really don't know cuz I wasn't around back then haha....ummm....it will probably be fairly quick like a day or 2 cuz they want to make sure they are satisfying their customers. But as Ben said, you might be able to use an American Credit Card on a French site that demands Euros but will convert the currency for a small fee....dunno.

Aha. I was actually wondering if that might not be the case...it seemed like too much of a coincidence that the new teasers showed up on the day when the pre-sale we were expecting didn't happen.

Too bad, but no harm done, really. Hopefully if it does wind up happening, it happens soon.
