misc. off topic questions

well I have seen members create new threads just to ask some simple questions because they have no where else to ask them.

so I decided that we just have one giant thread full of them and any more complex questions can have their own threads. I'll start then:

I want to get an IPod Touch but don't have a credit card to order it offline with an engraving (with something Alizée related of course

). can I get in engraved in an Apple store?

I don't think you can get it engraved in-store, but I'm sure there's some way you can order it.

well first off, welcome to the Forum and stop by the ChatBox. I won't be there tonight or tomorrow for I have a stupid project that will take me forever to do. so if anyone sees me on the ChatBox just ignore me and continue with your conversation.

second, they hate it when I ask them to borrow their credit card so I have to buy my stuff with cash. It took me a lot to convince my dad to buy me the deluxe box set but I still got it!

Another question about engraving, I was planning on getting a ZuneHD, and when I order it, to get it engraved by the Zune Originals store online. I did that with my last Zune, which has "Fall06" on it. With this new one, I have been planning to have "À Contre Courant" engraved on it. The problem is, when I enter it into the text box and click done to see the preview, the "À" character disappears and all I get is "Contre Courant." However when you go forward to the checkout step, the character appears again. Should I order it and risk receiving an incomplete engraving or what?

hmm... it came out good for me. though I didn't actually order it.
I'm debating right now. should I get an IPod Touch or a Zune HD?

Get the ipod. Everyone i know who gets a zune ends up hating it.

I can't really speak to the Zune, but I've had my iPod Touch since September of last year, and I love it to death. I use it for everything--listening to music and podcasts, playing games, reading books and comics, checking email, browsing the web on the go, Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps etc. etc. The only drawback to it--and the thing that's convinced me my next cell will be an iPhone, once the cost of 3G data plans come down a bit--is the dependence on WiFi for all the really cool stuff it does. It really limits you when you can't find an open WiFi connection.
