Wonderful piece of literature, I couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting over the Thanksgiving Break last week. Now I just need to see the movie. I'm weird like that, if I read a book and then discover that it's been adapted into a movie I HAVE to see the movie, or vice-versa.

it's almost completely faithful to the book (although the first half of the book is about 6 minutes long, the "search" is about 2 minutes long, and there's no mention of Rita (if I've remembered her name correctly))

don't even bother with the other one... it's embarrassing.

that film taught me that Jeremy Irons rules, and that Melanie Griffith needs to be hit in the face with a shovel, because that's what she did to me with her acting skills
