Yeah, Paris is a little too pricey for me right now, but if Alizée tours in Mexico again, I'm pretty sure I'm going. I was too late to the party for the Psych tour, having joined AAm only about a week before the shows in Mexico happened, and I've been kicking myself for it ever since.

I would imagine that when the 'higher-ups' approached Alizee with the idea of signing CDs especially for American fans, i would think she had some sort of choice in the matter. Whether she approached the signing with great enthusiasm or was indifferent to the entire thing is besides the point. What made this so special is the fact that she, as well as her management, knows very well that she has a lot of fans here in America. For the longest time, we were totally ignored and now that may change. At least, they can't deny our existence any more.

As far as setting aside a little extra time for us, while this was certainly generous, many other artists would have done the same thing. As a metal fan personally, I've spent time hanging out with artists on their tour bus, chatting with them, drinking, etc., so it's not like this was some unheard-of act of gratitude that only she would have done. I'm not saying at all that this makes me appreciate it any less however.

To Alizee, Scruffy and everyone else at AA that made this possible, i thank them deeply for making the most significant event this site has seen a reality.

Most artists do autograph signings; what's unique about this situation is the setting aside of time before the autograph signing for a private meeting with a single fan representing a group of fans from the other side of the world.

Of course, that's obvious and shouldn't need to be pointed out -- to anyone not in the grip of failed passion backlash.
