Is Alizée a Black Swan?
Nassim Taleb has recently released his new book on "The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable". A Black Swan has three characteristics:
1. It is Unpredicted. 2. It Carries a Massive Impact. 3. After the fact, it is made to appear less random. So, let's analyze this in terms of Alizée. She was unpredicted. She has had a massive impact. Hmmh, not sure about that last one. What do ya'll think? p.s. If any or our members are looking for a good gift for their engineer or technical significant other (or friend/family member),I would recommend this book. Even a physicist would find it entertaining (hint to Rocket).

I would say not. The implication is that Alizée is an ordinary, random occurrence that requires no explanation, and is given greater significance than she deserves merely because she is unexpected. I don't think that's true.

i have to say it is quite possible the she is but i'm not too sure i just find her to be a talented singer don't know abotui black swan quite possible though
(almost anything is possible just got to try as hard as you can)

since Alizee is unique we try to compare with such creatures so we would understand Alizee's uniqueness better imo
