Alizée plays a joke on Jenifer
My apologies if this is not new to you guys but I found this on Google video it was posted last week, but based on Jenifer's album it is from 2004. At first I was excited because it was newly posted and when Alizée was asked by the announcer when they would see her, for an interview, she said that it would be real soon, but after looking up Jenifer's album I realized it was 2 years old. But It's still funny because Alizée calls in pretending to be a fan called Anabelle and Jenifer doesn't recognize her voice.
http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...&q=Aliz%C3%A9e My French is really rusty but here's a quick and dirty translation: Announcer: ...where we play little jokes like that. We are always with Jenifer, her new CD has been on sale since Monday. It's called Le Passage, hop, I'll put it back in fullscreen. Voila, Voila, Voila, you're very beautiful in the photograph. (Female Announcer: You're magnificent in the photo.) Wow. Jenifer: Thanks, its thanks to the photographer. Announcers: A quick question from the phone. Yes, Anabelle I believe. Welcome. Anabelle(Alizée): Hello Announcers: Hi, welcome to Paris, welcome to Select. Anabelle: Thanks Announcer: I believe you have a quick question for Jenifer? Anabelle: Yes, first I want to say I'm a big fan. Jenifer: Thanks Anabelle: I wanted to know if you're a fan of Alizée? Jenifer: Yes, I'm a fan of Alizée, I know her personally she's a friend, but... Announcer: Yes Anabelle: are you sure? Announcer: What do you you think of Alizée? Jenifer: I Like her, like her a lot. Announcer: If you had to name a fault of Alizée, a major fault of Alizée's, what would it be? Something that bothers you about her. Jenifer: No, no there's nothing that bothers me. Announcer: Why did you ask that question Annabelle? I find you really curious. Anabelle: Well, I wanted to know if she really knows her that well Announcer: Sure Anabelle(Alizée): Because if she knows me that well, she would have known it was me, wouldn't she? Announcer: Voila, There you go. Announcer: Can you sing a little C'est pas ma faute to see? Alizée: singing C'est pas ma faute... Announcer: Good day Alizée Jenifer: Hi Announcer: Didn't you guys have lunch together at noon yesterday; (Female Announcer: and she still didn't recognize your voice) You were fooled all the same. Jenifer: I didn't recognize your voice. Alizée:It's ok, I forgive you, its because of the phone Annoouncer: So you're really good friends then? Alizée/Jenifer: Yes, Yes, we like each other a lot. Announcer: What was the last foolish thing the two of you did together, shopping or... Alizée:... we go shopping too much... Jenifer: Voila, there you go. Announcer: How is it going Alizée, and when are you comming to see us? Alizée: Soon, whenever you invite me. Announcer: Well now that you have our number call us anytime. Alizée: That's kind. Announcer: In any case, we'll send you a big kiss, it was really nice for you to surprise Jenifer. Alizée: It's normal. (It was nothing) Announcer: When will we see the two of you again? Alizée: Real quick, real quick. Someone who saw me on the show sent me a text message... Announcers: There you go, Ok. Alizée:...and i should answer it. Announcers: Thanks Alizée, see you soon. Thanks a lot, a big kiss. Jenifer: From me too. Alizée: See you soon. Until next time. Announcer:Let's go now... and the rest of Jenifer's interview continues. |

I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late." - Jack Handey |

Huh, wonder what prompted Alizee to call that show, I mean, yeah it's some well-meant raillery for a friend, but the call didn't seem too welcome. Or is it just me?

The translation seems bit weird at the end. I think it's Jennifer who messaged Alizée before the show (and Jennifer comments it by saying 'voila' so she knows what Alizée is talking about). And then Alizée says that she replied to Jennifer just a moment ago.
Tho, she speaks so fast that I can't really follow what she says... Dunno, maybe aFrenchie can tell which one really is correct translation ? I have these subtitles for it: Quote:

Thanks for the Welcome.
RMJ's subtitles are the translation to use, being one that French is my second language and I haven't translated anything since high school or spoken it in over 5 years, second I'm Canadian so the Acadian french spoken here in New Brunswick or la Québécoise in Quebec has different dialects than the French used in France. Although France's dialect, with the exception of unfamiliar expressions, is the easiest for me to understand, being the closest to the French I learned in school. Acadian french much like the Cajun french down south in the US has spent the last 400 or so years developing into almost its own language, and unless you grew up in a french family that spoke it you will have a harder time understanding it (at least I do). And lastly as stated in my original post my translation was done quickly, add this to a lack of being able to hear what was said because parts of the clip had two or three people talking together, and you get a translation meant only to provide something until somebody posted something better.
