1. she tweeted to ask for ideas
2. now this - email to a possible composer
3. La Academia, Amimicalement, LE, Unicef...

...very short time to make album, and when promo must start before releasing much shorter time...

I agree with Karin. If she is at the stage of finding someone to compose the songs, she's got a long ways to go.

Alizée has never written her own lyrics, either. Mylène used to do that for her, several different people did it for Psychédélices, and others for UEDS. I'm sure if she's looking for composers she's also looking for lyricists, or perhaps for both in one person.

I'm quite sure she doesn't write her own songs. I believe the only thing she has done in that direction is give others, such as MF, ideas for songs.

It's looking more like her new album is just in the initial stages. Some people thought that her asking for suggestions was her way of being coy with us, but I think it's becoming more obvious, such is not the case. But in the long run, that doesn't really matter, as long as she is working on it. As much as I can't stand the wait, if I do have to wait until the spring of 2013, then let it be, as long as she takes the time to make sure it's right.

As far as pirating. It's probably worse than ever and would take a huge chunk out of any cd sales she makes. But if the cd is a good one, no matter how bad the economy, people will want to see her concerts, to take their minds off of other things. So she needs to take her time and get this album right, then capitalize on it with as many concerts as she can squeeze in.

One good sign is that she's using social media for self-promotion a lot more and starting earlier. She seemed reluctant to pull out of recluse mode on her last two albums, something I can identify with but . . .

I've already said how good it is for her, on my opinion, that she'll perform on Alain Chamfort next album. As he is a real talented songwriter, it could be great if she manage to make him work for her.

Here is another french songwriter which is very talented and successfull, and could be a perfect producer for her: Laurent Voulzy

This a song he made (and produce) for Nolwen ( an Alizee friend, as you know)

Whether she really is only in the beginning stages or is nearing completion, no amount of speculation is going to make it come out any sooner; it comes out when it comes out and there's nothing we can do to change it. So in the meantime, I'm just gonna
