Possible replacement of the Concord?
The Concord was a sexy piece of aerospace engineering designed by the British and French. It was the first and only super sonic (faster than the speed of sound) mode of civilian transport. Though it had its problems ultimately leading to its unfortunate retirement. For one, it was very expensive for passengers as well as other problems being fuel and loud noises/sonic booms (especially around JFK in NYC, I remember hearing its roar as a kid... very very loud!) and other vast technical problems. Well the French just unveiled a hypersonic bird (about 5 times the speed of sound, 3750 mph at altitude)..... will this be the bird that fills the void that the concord has left?

Wow this is very cool. No doubt it will be very expensive more so in the begining but there will be peope who want it. It looks like the whole flight is at an angle and a steep one in the begining and end. so that might annoy or scare people.

It actually might be cheaper than you think, the rocket engines will be fueled by hydrogen and oxygen ... very cheap stuff, actually a lot cheaper than what we pay for gas for our cars. So it might actually be very economically feasible unlike the Concord. The flight take off is at a steep angle to minimize the sonic boom as much as possible so it doesn't cause noise pollution like the Concord did but in terms of people getting scared cause of the steep angle I doubt it. The seats will rotate so people wont realize how steep they actually are, it will be just like a normal plane take off. Also know the whole flight is not at that angle, just take off! However the one thing that might scare people is the amount of Gs taking off at that angle and speed will have. Most likely it will be anywhere from 3 - 5 Gs though im sure the engineers are working on ways to compensate for that becuase you cant have pregnant women, babies, and people with heart conditions exposed to that kind of force for an extensive period of time.
