Am I the only one that get this feeling that Obama is going to get wacked? He feels too real, too less puppetized. Without saying anything about being for or against his cause. In some way he feel like a person who can scare alot of people, a person who want to change too much.

To compare with GW bush, there isn't really any point in killing him, everyone knows he isn't pulling the strings anyway... right?

Joke aside, does anyone share this feeling?

Just paraphrasing many of the threads i've read in the past couple of weeks AND COMMENTS I"VE HEARD FROM NEIGHBORS ; Barak H. Obama scares the shit out of a bunch of my rural, uneducated friends, neighbors, christians and rednecks...

What is it with electing a black man president that has sent otherwise normal people right off the edge? Secret Service reporting more death threats in the aftermath of this election than any time in recorded memory? People buying guns (as if the recent supreme court decision on the 2nd amendment isn't clear enough? ).

I've heard neighbors say things like "The USA used to be a good country..."

Yeah, I'm worried for him, just because the far right (and that is NOT addressed at anyone here) - is just so whacked!

Some Official Election Results:
Number of Americans who voted for Obama: 66,882,230 (which I believe is a new record!)
Electoral Votes: Obama 365 , McCain 173

That’s was pathetic display by McCain, he lost the battleground states of Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana (which was surprising), Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania. Basically it was thorough ASS-WHOOPING by Obama & and a slap in the face to Bush & the Republicans for their failed economic & foreign policy. In terms of demographics it doesn’t look good for Republicans in the future, the growing Hispanic population voted for Obama 65%-70%. In terms of young people ages 18-24 it was even more lopsided, in some cases, for every 10 votes from young people Obama took 9 of those votes. I can tell from experience that on election day every corner you turn on my College Campus somebody was wearing an Obama t-shirt, the dorms were all filled with Obama posters. I even had friends in College who even campaigned for Obama and helped turn a red area to blue and garner electoral votes for Obama which previously went to Republicans. And these are people who never campaigned anytime in their life. There is no way in hell McCain could match the youth, excitement & motivation that young people in my age bracket brings. Obama’s win was grass-roots effort, nothing like we have even seen. His ability to get millions of people on the ground to campaign for him is truly unmatched. And all those lies and smears by Fox News, McCain and the Republicans didn't work this time. It reminds me of a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln:

"You could fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all people all the time." The American people have been fooled enough in the past 8 years, the finally WOKE up.

As for McCain needs to stop running for President. He is getting embarrassed by guys half his age. He needs to let the young generation of leaders take over. Electing McCain would be going a step Backwards because he is even older than Bush. Just to give you an idea of how old McCain is when me & Alizee was born McCain was 50 years old. He was born before WWII and was a little boy when Hitler was around. The guy needs to retire, live in a nursing home and drink some warm prune juice.

Well, what can I say, there are a lot of ignorant people out there who will say retarded things like, “This is the beginning of the end,” or pull that “socialist” crap on Obama. Whatever happened to the concept of giving someone a chance before making a judgement. The guy is two months away from being in office and these morons are already accusing of him being failure. With respect to those people who takes issue with America having a black president, it doesn’t surprise me. One needs to remember it was only 40-45 years ago that all of our country was desegregated. There were people back then who were vehemently opposed to it and even hurled racial slurs against black children as they were going into desegregated schools. Those racists people are still around. But the good thing is as the election proved those people are increasingly become the minority. The young generation that are coming don’t care about race and are all Obama.

Sarah Palin get’s pranked (this is for real). A radio station preteneding to be President Nicholas Sarkozy of France prank calls Sarah Palin and she falls for it. This was a brilliant set up. They give her ample opportunity for her to figure out that she is getting pranked but she is just too dumb to not pick up on it, like when the guy pretending to be Sarkozy mentions that he watched a documentary on her called, “Who’s Nailin Palin”. You would think that after he mentioned that she would figure out that she was getting played, apparently not.

Yeah, fixed. . Shocking number, eh? He won almost 100 more than he needed to win in these day and age and he did it all being a black man. Basically, he won an overwhelming majority. I was surprised at how accurate some of the polling was. At first I didn't believe the polls that he could win by such a landslide, that goes to show that the Bradley Effect was non-existent.

I just don't agree with him on stand point issues so that is why I don't like him

Who's bashing. Those are facts he did lose all those battleground states, he did lose by an overwhelming majority, it was rejection of Republican policies, nuff said. No would cry racists, your are just imagining things. He got his ASS handed to him just like in sports where for example USC beat Notre Dame in football by a landslide over the weekend. Notre Dame got their asses handed to them by USC.

That's a load of baloney! He won because people think he will do a better job of handling the economy. Economy was issue #1 and it also helped that the he against the war in Iraq. There were other Black figures that ran for President but they didn't win because they weren't appealing or had polices that were not appealing to the mainstream that why they lost unlike Obama. And it is historic, he became the first Black President, something that I didn't expect to see it in my lifetime.

The point is my guy beat your guy by a landslide. Get over it. The election was over by 10 e.s.t. That's laughable. It was a clear indication that the country wants to go in a different direction.
