[QUOTE=Just a Guest;90024]Cause he payed a shitload of money to get it???
Exactly point is that the artist doesnt necessarily own the rights to their own music. You've seen the contract? NORMALLY artists are still getting their royalties after changing record companies. It's an exception if they don't. And if so, they are offered a nice "donation". (At least in most European contries) ah you got me. No I didnt see the contract. blast! I am relying on media reports. Read the posts before you post - "Alizée's former music label, Universal Music released a compilation ablum, titled "Tout Alizée".[39] " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliz%C3...cotey#_note-23 citing Mixup Music Store: Tout Alizée. Well, if she hadn't changed labels and they were releasing a greatest hits compilation (only in one market which caught on rather late) to coincide with her new album, would you have batted an eye?

Even if Lili doesn't receive a cent from this (which I doubt, given royalties and all), it can't hurt her. If it sells well, in fact, it can only help by raising her visability and marketability within the industry.
