Translation Trouble

If you have sarcastic friends like I do, don't ask them to help translate for you!
For example... Alizee came out as..."gaz de bout puant"! It looked too long to be right so I looked it up myself. As expected, it wasn't quite accurate. I don't think I'll ask for his help anymore.

After I found out what it really meant he said it was "prevailing wind" yeah right... I guess it could be but not quite what I had in mind.

Ha! His answer to what it means is fairly clever. It'd probably be funny if it wasn't blasphemous.

If we were talking of someone else, it would be real funny. The only reason he is still alive is that he didn't know who we were talking about.

It meant "fart breeze" or "stinky wind" something like that. In any case it wasn't nice.

Yeah...

"Gas from the smelly end" or possibly just "ass gas" if you want to be direct about it.

I'll bet there were lots such jokes in the old days (e.g., the anti-Alizée sites, one of which RMJ pointed out not too long ago).
