that confused me actually... i mean, how she pronounces it anyways.. i mean, the J'ai pas vingt part is good, but then she says something that sounds like don or something.

and im racking my brains as to how "ans" comes out sounding like "don".

That 'don' is from vingt ans: it's la liaison between 't' and 'ans'. 't' is also voicing (dunno how write it in english, I mean from voiceless 't' to voiced 'd') partly into 'd' because of 'g' before it. It's why you can hear 'don'

En Concert I'm assuming? The cd version is just weird.

life is going to be so nice when you get to liasons.

they're what make French so pretty to listen to.

Ya pretty to listen, but hard to understand, because you must figure out first when one word is ending and second is beginning And when it comes to write down heard text with words that you don't know, that 'e' you heard was 'ai'; 'es' at the end; maybe just 'é' or you didn't heard, but there is 'e'

The thing that makes French unique is the unnecessary use of vowels they put in.
To an English speaker, "Croissant" isn't said the way the French say it
Of course, if it was to fit an English speaker's expected language form, it would look strange like, "Qwasaan"

yeah, and not to mention that sometimes they only pronounce the first couple letters of the word. (which also confuses the heck outta me!)

maybe it's because I'm starting out early, but French as well as many other languages... how would you say it... don't confuse me?

Liasons and the endings almost seem like they make sense to me.
