6:14 is a good PR man, mine was 6:30 but i was a cross country runner really, not an indoor... I hated indoor cause my coach would always stick me in the 800. The problem with the 800 is especially in the Amory is everyone seems to be running at 5:00 even though they should be at 6:00. You know what I mean right everyone seems to be running at a faster pace in that building
btw if you ever see Tottenville High School.... (The Pirates, Purple and white colors) make sure you kick their asses for me, cause that my team = P

No mean someone who runs at a 6:00 mile pr runs the 800 at a 5:00 min PR so instead of doing the 8:00 in about 3:00min they do it in the low 2:00s. When your conditioned to run a 6:00 mile and your doing a half a mile at 5:00 or below it hurts ya know?

I dont think your understanding me.
Say person a runs a 6:00 min mile
Then Person A "should" theoretically complete 800m (1/2) mile in 3:00 min half the said mile time. But that never happens in the real world, person A will finish the 800min in about 2:30min. So when person A does the 800 in 3:00min (theoretical completion time) they are running at 6:00min mile pace and when person a does the 800 in about 2:30min (their actual completion time) they are no longer running at their 6min mile pace they are running at a 5:00 min pace 1 min faster than their normal pr. You understand what im saying?

lol i thought i wrote 5:00 min pace or pr oh well never was good at writing = )
but that's why i hated the Armory and the dreaded 800.... it was like a suicide (400m) but worse

Nah. The 600 is worse. You want to run it a bit faster than an 800 but you don't want to kill yourself at the same time. 'tis very confusing. Samething with the 1000.
