thanx guys. This is obviously not the final version but it gives us an idea on how it will be. Just by judging this rough cut, I think the official version will be great.

This is definitly a rough edit, because the quality of the vocals in the full song don't match the quality of the vocals in the 1:00 clip. I think this was just a rough practice mix of the song to get a feel of how things were progressing.

Maybe this is just a remix they did to release with the single.

i don't know about that. it could be perceived as another US invasion, this time by a french song.

(i don't mean an invasion because she's form corsica. i mean that a lot of people here will not like it simply because it's in another language)

Hmmm, although I'm vary curious in hearing this full "rough" cut. I'll just wait for the final release. I'm content with the 1-min teaser on repeat (which I edited the last couple seconds to fade out).

So, are we looking at May 2009 (j/k).

I haven’t commented much so far on “Fifty Sixty”, so I will now. The file I got has a number of flaws in it (a nasty spike at the end) and its overall RMS is -24 which is quite low. As it’s been said before, this is not a final mix by any stretch of the imagination.

Just out of curiosity I converted it into a wav file, removed the spike, normalized it, ran it through an EQ balancer and then pumped it up by 5db and got it to an RMS of -12. I burned it onto a CD, put it in my car stereo and gave it the “drive test”.

I’m lucky I didn’t get a speeding ticket ! I love this song ! I can’t wait to buy the real thing. I like the concept and the lyrics. There's a sense of adventure in the music. She didn’t just play it safe with a conventional song structure. It’s not just another pop love song. All of Alizée’s songs in the past have been about something, not just another “I love you, I want you” kind of song.

You can’t polish a turd, but this song is no turd, IMO. It’s going to be great when the polished version is released.

You guys probably think I’m crazy or obsessed for doing all this, but I have a technical, as well as a musical interest in audio and I just couldn’t help myself ...
