I've noticed that A LOT of the Olympians this year have tattoos. So again, that whole "only dead beats/criminals have tats" attitude is obviously false. I understand some people simply don't like tattoos, and that's fine. But the idea that anyone who gets a tattoo is mentally unstable in someway, is just way off base.

The latest tattoo is just silly. Silly, tacky, trashy, all of the above could be applied to the tattoo itself in my opinion. This is going to sound weirdly specific/random, maybe it's something you only see in the southern US, but if you asked me to imagine the type of person who would have a tattoo of Snow White mean-mugging you with an assault rifle in her hands on their arm, I would picture a woman who looks way older than she is, chain-smokes and smells like stale cigarettes all the time, lives in a trailer (with posters of wolves and dreamcatchers hanging on the walls), wears over-sized Looney Toons t-shirts with holes in them, teases her hair, and works at the local 7-11. Trailer trash, basically. Not a good look, 'Zee.

Also, as for the continuity of the "strong woman" thing, if I remember correctly all Snow White did was get lost in the woods, clean and cook for a bunch of men, fall for the poison apple trick and eventually get rescued by a prince. She seems like the exact opposite of a strong woman to me, more like a helpless, weak girl who fits the traditional "women belong in the kitchen" ideal some men hold for women.

So yeah, I don't like the tattoo at all. If she likes it, that's cool, I just don't.

Should have gotten Snow White holding a broom.

Edit:

Well it does seem like a lot more people these days are getting tatoos. It seems to be a growing fad and I'm sure it's a fad that will some day run it's course. There are a lot of normal people getting them, but few to the extent that she is getting them, and I honestly feel, there is something wrong with this young woman.

When I read the thread I think most people don't think so either, but the either don't like tattoos in general or dinstinguish between ugly and good tattoos (that's me).
Nobody said it was the same like a teardrop tattoo :P

EXACTLY what i was thinking! i read the strong woman comment and thought this about snow white, but i didnt wanna say anything. but yeah, she like feel in love with a dude and got married like a week later. she lived in a house with 7 guys and did EVERY chore. worst kind of damsel in distress. thats one of the reasons mulan was my favorite disney princess. because she kicked ASS. killed a whole fuckin mongolian or hun or wtf ever army ALONE. kick. fuckin. ASS. but yet still feminine and attractive as a woman.
