Very nice! How did they get the pupils to widen? Did they use a light or something?

When cat's see something they like or they are interested in, their pupils dilate. Same with Humans. If we see something we like or we are interested in our pupils dilate.

Your right about lighting. When we shut the lights off our pupils dilate to help us see better in the dark but when lights are put on our eyes hurt from to much light getting into our eyes so our pupils constrict to let less light enter. But just enough light to help us see clearly.
