Did anyone see the show Trauma on NBC this past Sunday? The show about EMS Paramedics in San Fransisco. If you did give me your opinion. I must say as a current Firefighter I also do EMS work and this is NOT the way we act in the field.

Dude, don't worry about that stuff.

I mean, nearly everything is depicted totally wrong in the media than it is in real life.

great example: in every damn war movie, when they're doing some sort of radio transmission, they end with "over and out".. that is a contradictory statement.

"over" implies that you have finished a part of your transmission, and is going to transmit more info, and will be waiting for a response from higher command.

"out" implies that you are DONE with your transmission, and that you won't be transmitting any more, and that you don't expect a response from higher command.

soo yeah. don't worry about it.

yeah, i know what you mean.

i've heard that the Army was refusing to acknowledge the movie "hurt locker" that came out this summer, on the grounds that is shows the Soldiers to be undisciplined and somewhat of a adrenaline junky.
