Souviens-toi du Jour
Wow, Mylène puts powerful passion (watch the eyes) in this song.
Great Choreography. Great composition (Laurent is still the best...wonderful depth..beautiful touch. The piano harmony introduced at 1:09 is extremely moving, only three notes....representing something so deep with something so simple). I also have a couple of questions for the French experts familiar with the song. As used in the song, how should "D'amour à volonté" be interpreted? Also, what is the proper interpretation of "Souviens-toi". I have several French references, some identify Souviens as "remember", and I've seen Souviens-moi (remember me). But what is the proper interpretation of, and proper context for use of, Souviens-toi?

Souviens-toi doesn't usually mean "remember yourself." Instead, it's "remember," using the "toi" in the same way that you might say "remind yourself." Similar to asseyez-vous.

Que Lombre is also an excellent clip of Mylene's stage performance.

you guys are awesome!
well in my opinion when i know millions details about Mylène and millions details about Alizée they don't seem similar to me, actually they are very different that's why i adore them both (Mylène still much more) and that's why i can't get bored by them. |
