Default AV Harware and Software

So, I'd like to learn a bit about what different people use for audio and video players and such, as well as programs for running/editing that stuff. I know a lot of people here are big into it, so I figure we should have some discussion about it. Me, i use a PSP for all video and gaming. I don't have pc so I can't run prgrams. But yeah, what do you use? How well does it work?

I generally use VLC Media Player for all kind of AV files. Also photoshop cs 5 for editing the images. I would like to know if any other better software is available.

mpc is Media Player Classic which can be used for audio-video files and winamp is specially used for mp3 files.
