And I responded by saying Alaskans are cool, what's your point?

Don't assume that the French dislike the USA or the American people. It's all about Bush's politics only. There's no American bashing in France like the French bashing in the USA. You won't hear about boycott, renaming American stuff or anything like that here. You may hear lots bad things about Bush's government and political views but that's all about it. Nothing against the average American.
About Alizée, clic here to read what she said exactly about the idea of touring in the US.
I can't tell you about Alizée's opinions of course. If you really want to imagine something special in Alizée about the USA, for me the only thing possible could be her thinking that she'll have no luck and even have troubles there because of the serious French bashing. BUT note that she's never been heard saying that. Just an idea...

On topic: What has been said already. Plus the fact that Mylène Farmer's lyrics are full of puns, wordplays that are not adaptable for obvious reasons...

Frenchie, if she doesn't ever come to USA, I hope she comes to Canada. What's the biggest city in Canada?

God I hope she comes to Canada. I will definitely go there to see her.

Going to France will be much harder and I really think the wife would kill me. Although I might get a way with it if I combine/hide it with a trip to Normandy. I have always wanted to go there!

In my opinion, she will surely go to Quebec one day or another, so Montreal. Touring, not sure or not yet, but in a TV show, probably... Quebecers are like cousins for the French, they sing and speak (a cute) French and their artists very often come perform in France in the long term as well.
