Weezer, and alt rock band from the 90's still going strong today. Ran across this when they played on the show "Happy Days". I just cannot imagine how Happy Days would survive on TV today.

Into The Spiderverse was incredible

This song has been stuck in my head since I left the theater.

This one "brightens" many a "dark" day for me...

And this one, well, apply the thought to where we are...

Edit:

Well, it's come to my attention that there is not enough "Scottishness" in this forum, so I'll have to rectify this promptly.

Travis:, vintage 90's stuff..

These never fail to make me smile...

Now, Sharleen is not Britney, but OMFG what a voice.

So many good memories...

Back to my "roots", memories.

I used to work for an oil company that did offshore drilling across the globe. I was supporting a computer application that assisted the rigs to order supplies from the base, which was a nearby city. One of the places where they were drilling was the North Sea, and the home base was Aberdeen, Scotland. I did most of my support work by phone, but sometimes if a system problem was severe enough, I would have to take a trip there to diagnose and fix the problem.

The Scotland base was, by far, my favorite. They were a very friendly bunch, and of course I loved the accent. They kept telling me to ask my boss if I could take a trip there. They loved the pubs, and they were anxious to show me a good time. However, I had to have a business need, and it never came up for Aberdeen Usually I got sent to the most remote, undesirable locations.
