Earlier songs to be reorchestrated if she goes on tour!

hmm well let's wait to hear it first before getting all worked up. even en concert version songs were a bit different from the studio songs and i kinda look forward to some fresh update to her old songs actually.

I Love the En Concert songs more than I liked the studio versions and they don't use the same instruments or follow the melody exactly the same. J.B.G is an ok studio song but the live version is simply awesome! Also the rockin Bass in Gourmandises on the En Concert CD PWNS

I never said such a thing either. What I'm talking about can be summed up as 'artistic integrity'. Doing something for the sole purpose of pleasing the fans, while hating to do it at the same time, is kind of a sell out, imo.

Edit: As a fan, of course you could feel angry or disappointed if your favourite artist changed the way a certain song sounded like. That's totally fair. What I'm saying is that it shouldn't stop the artist from doing so. In the end, it's his/her music, and he does what he wants with it.

Not so fast Sj, I think from the Star Acadamy Mademoiselle Juliette, we had a dance, may not be the real dance but I guess its something. Something to keep us occupied until we see something different?

I agree. She should not change, at least, Moi Lolita. Moi Lolita is the song which keeps the nostalgia. If she change it, there is no way by which I can connect new Lily with old Lily. To me, old Lily (Moi Lolita era) is what keeps me ardent about Lily. If that connection is lost, I might not like new Lily.

She may change ACC, JPVA, JEAM, but not Moi Lolita.

Just my opinion.

New is good- it should be encouraged. The old material can never be lost and there is not a thing to lose is trying something different.

Ok so let me get this straight, since she hasn't had Mylène Farmer around, she had to change Moi Lolita music wise? What about everything else? I would hate to see the guitar of JPVA changed. That would make me sad since I play it on my guitar. Same with JEAM.

The old music was great; LB was/is extremely gifted. However, Alizée should have her finger on the pulse of where French music is today. She is trying to sing what she wants while still staying trendy. This is a fine line. She did moi lolita when she was 15; she is now 23. If she avoids the error she allowed on Star Academy where ML was not properly set for her voice, some rewriting probably makes sense.

I will miss the old versions, but we will hear them again, and we now get to hear where she wants to go with them.

First, I'm sure it's not a rights issue.
Second, I agree with others who says lets hear it first.
Third, I also agree that they changed the songs quite a bit on her first tour.
Last, I don't think the Star Academy music sounded bad at all!

Personally I think it has to be done. You can't have half a concert sounding like her new material and half sounding like her old. The expeirence has got to flow. If you want the exact same thing as before, fire up the albums.
