One thing to think about is that since Alizée and Jeremy have a car and driver's licenses, someone could always get into the public records, find their address and give it to reporters. There are many ways to give celebs a hard time.

That goes without saying! Then again, I believe the paparazzi should be required by law to wear flashing neon signs and have all laws involving their personal safety rendered null and void.

yeah i don't know about France but here in the States cases over 90% of the time get settled before trial begins

so if it's like the U.S. , Alizee's case probably got settled even before a trial began

the settlement was probably less than the original fine - i think it was around 40,000 euros (?)
unless there was clear and convincing evidence that the photographer broke the law - perhaps the settlement would be higher

but having a clearcut fine makes me wonder if it's a criminal violation and not a civil violation in France? That would be interesting if it's a criminal violation - maybe the photographer could even spend some time in jail...

At least in New Jersey, access to these records is protected. If an employee accesses someones records without a good reason they can be fired (and have been).
