Default Psychedelices..

I just started listening to this new album today down in ol nz, and i must say at first listen i thought she should have stayed with farmer.
After a few hours i really like it and might be as bold to say it could be better than her old material, even though her voice takes a backseat to the beat in some tracks it's still very pleasing.
The only song i don't really fancy is Psychedelices
also hi guys,. lets go to lillytown

Yeah, I think I had the same reaction. This one takes a couple listens before the hooks get set in nice and deep.

The only song I don't really like is decollage... I knew a girl that thought Hollaback Girl was the greatest song ever and played it non-stop. I can't help but hear Gwen Stefani instead of Alizee when I hear that song.

consider the fact that Alizée, added Gwen to her myspace profile.

Oh, I know it's based on that song. Says so on her official website. I also saw Gwen on her myspace. I just can't stand Gwen's song anymore and that carries over to decollage now. =(

The other songs are great though!

Spaceli0n, I have agree with your assessment of the CD. The first time through it I was iffy on it. After listening to it 3 or 4 times I really started to like it.

DeCollage was one of those songs that grows on you. At first I wasn't thrilled with it. I have grown to like it after the 20 or more times I have heard it.

I said the same thing you did about Psychedelices when I made a post about my thoughts on the CD. That is one song that I can't seem to get my arms around. When I hear it start I just skip to Decollage.

The one song that really grew on me is Lonely List. Probably because it follows Lilly Town and I was too lazy hit the repeat button on the CD player.

I don't like Décollage either. I just find it a bit cheap... I dunno.
The rest of the album is good though.

I think it would be a mistake for her to release that song as a single because it's not uniquely "Alizée" enough. My favorite song on the album is Par les paupiers, I think either that or Mon Taxi Driver would be the best song for the next single.

Yes, the first time I listened to it I didnt know what to think.
It was different, but after listening to it a few times I am totally in love it.
I loved the song Psychédélices from the very first though :P

In the start I actually did skip Décollage, because I wasent fond of that one.
But then something happened....and now I really really love it....
You totally right when you said that this is one of the songs that grows on you.

I love all the songs, but I think I've listened to Mademoiselle Juliette a little too much....
Over 1000 play counts on my mp3-player alone and I listen more when Im at my computer, hehe.
