The situation is so horrible I can't even begin to find words adequate enough to address it. My heart goes out to all who have been affected by this disaster.

Unfortonatly I was up when the quake happened, it happened around 3am -4am US time and every hour the updates just got worse and worse. 2 of my neighbors are exchange students; they were trying to contact their families all day thank god they were able to reach them the next day; everything that is happening in Japan is just..... sickening. Hopefully the world can learn from this though there's not many things made to withstand a 9.0 and then a massive tsunami. Hopefully we don't have another Chernobyl on our hands though I am hearing that they are starting to get the rods under control. Just everything that can go wrong did...........

Man...it was a "1,2,3 Punch" as one CNN co-host put it.

The quake, then tsunami, then radiation problems...

The Nuclear portion of this disaster keeps getting worse and worse.

If you want an education on how the true scope of a disaster gets understated by officials, then go to this site and watch a few videos:
http://www.fairewinds.com/updates

It's rare that I make a suggestion like this, however I have been tracking this site for the last 3 months and I believe they are giving you the correct and accurate truth.

I'll say this again - the videos are worth watching (start from the beginning if possible - at the bottom of the page). If you do, you will learn a lesson about so many facets of human society that I can't even begin to describe it all.

I saw something about a group of older people trying to do their best at coming up with a plan about going in to the worst parts... they said it was their generations fault the building was there and there was also abit about older people arent effected as bad as younger when it comes to radiation?
