You see in Ancient times; Corsica was not always called Corsica ! It was called Sirenoussa or the Island of the Sirens, or Circe's Island ( one of the original Sirens ) ! As Documented in Homer's Odyssey and as Lived by the Ancient Hero Ulysses !
The Fairies were sailing from Italy to France; because the Fairy Queen wanted to change the Location of her Kingdom. So the Fairies built a tiny fleet and off they sailed. But a Gigantic storm came up and broke their ships into pieces and they were thrown into the Mediterranean sea and half drowned ! And they could neither do Magic or Fly but ended up being thrown upon the beaches of the island Corsica. And there the Corsicans found them and took them home in their laundry baskets and sheets and their Wheelbarrows and Pillows. And they nursed the Fairies back to health and gave them baked potatoes and Salad fixings and Berries and grapes and some wine and so the Fairies were made healthy again ! So the Fairies perceived that the Corsicans were very nice and so they stayed with the Corsicans a few years ! And the Corscians made them Fairy Furniture and Beds and Sofas and living room Chairs to sit in and the Corsicans even tucked the Fairies into the Beds like they were children and told them stories while they went to sleep. And so the Fairies Loved the Corsicans and the Corsicans loved the Fairies !
But eventually the Fairy Queen wanted to move on to France and so the Faireis had to say their Goodbyes; although some Fairies Bawled like kids leaving their Parents Bwa-Wha ! And so the Fairies decided to reward the Corsicans by means of their Magick. So they said as long as History records; there shall not Fail to be a Siren in Corsica. And so , you see, Alizee is the modern day Siren of Corsica and there she resides today !
