No, those are of Jessica, known here as alizéeclochette. She was on the Stars à Domicile show, and got a chance to spend a day with Alizée. And yes, she certainly does look a lot like Alizée.

As I've said many times, I like real smiles. Those first two (although very beautiful), are camera smiles. First looks a bit forced. Second is a basic "smile for the camera" shot. They're not "true" smiles.

The cafe pic...that's a true smile. You can see it in the eyes....simply wonderful. Makes me wonder if Alizée knows how beautiful she really is in those natural impromptu shots.

Honestly, i can see where he's coming from... I too and a bit disappointed with the new pics, its not gonna make me stop loving and listening to her music, but to see her now sure is different. Another thing...

Look how many times she changed her hair style and color through the Gourmandises and MCE era. We all are used to it and accept it. This is no different. She may have had her hair done this way just for that particular event she was attending.

We still don’t know how she will wear it when she appears in public. She may change it frequently. Just look at JEAM performances, JEAM video, JPVA, ACC, and en concert hair styles. All those changes over the course of 1 year.

The Alizée "look" of yesterday remains in our memory, our pictures and our videos. It is a simple fact or our existence that those looks will change over time. But do not despair. You don't have to give up the old to treasure the new. They are complementary. That is why we have picture books. That is why we keep memories. The pictures help us connect to memories that go beyond looks. Friendship. Love. And a host other other timeless things.

Alizée, at 23, looks very young and healthy, but most of that youthful look comes from hey eyes. By contrast, when her eyes are covered up by those glasses, she all of a sudden looks a few years older, which you might interpret as slightly mal-nourished.

That is it. I couldn't figure out what was bothering me about those two new pictures and that is it. Her hair and skin tone doesn't look healthy. When I first saw them I wondered if she had picked up smoking. I see the dry hair and off colored skin tone from people who smoke. I know this is probably a product of the camera and lighting, but something is off. Lili just doesn't look healthy (espescially in the first). Maybe she had been sick prior to these pictures being taken.

I don't mind the fact she has changed. That doesn't bother me, but something about the way her hair and skin tone looks in those pictures just isn't good. Lili I still love you and think you are beautiful, but something isn't right in those two pictures.

I know she is a real person, and has flaws like every other person. I am not worried about her flaws. I am worried about her health. Like I said though, it could be the lighting that is causing the pictures to look weird. There are so many things that can make a picture look off. The setting, the framing, the lighting, the back lighting, the focus, the position of the camera: any of these things could be off in that photo. We sub-conciously pick up these details in a picture and even a small thing can make a picture look weird. I think it is just something to do with the picture, and not Lili. Plus, those glasses are too big, and hide too much of Lili's beautiful face.

When I read Matrix's grand exit, I could not help but think of Humbert's monologue in Nabokov's Lolita when he sees Lolita for the last time after several years (17 and pregnant). He talks about how the "death" he had imagined for all these years was a matter of a few seconds. (The "death" being the end of her pubescent nympethood; he had gone on at length in earlier parts of the book about what would happen when she would inevitably grow up and etc.)

Invasion of what privacy? They posed for a picture who knows where. It is not a picture they were unaware of, naked in the tub or something. They were obviously funning with someone. And while it may be, considered by some, good courtesy for close friends of theirs to ask if it is ok to publicize such none invasive photos, it is certainly not the case of just someone who was allowed to capture such a shot.

She looks great to me in the photos, but seems like she may be going through something or just a bit tired, they both do really. Maybe it was jetlag.

On the flip side, all the pictures show her in a beautiful way. So whoever took them was obviously looking for good shots. If I were Alizée's label (or publicist), I would think it a good idea to ease the fans through the transition. A few "leaked" pics is a good way to do that in a subliminal way. The fact some of us are having a difficult time on the transition is all the more supportive of that approach.

I honestly don't remember where it was posted. It may have been quickly deleted. If I remember right it was lifted from a photobucket site that was not private, but probably was never intended to be released publicly. I believe the concensus was that it was probably Alizée who was running the camera, and Jeremy could be seen at one point. I am guessing that these photos where lifted from the same place and may have been taken at the same event, possibly a wedding reception.

I would like to offer some input:

For some here you have been with Lili for a couple of years. You grew with her. So this change doesn't seem as drastic, because you have been experiencing the Lolita image for quite some time. You are ready for a new look for Lili.

Others have only known about her for a couple months. These people including myself have only been able to experience the Lolita image for a couple of months. We are still new to the Lolita image. We aren't yearning for a new look because we are still new to the Lolita image. We are trying to experience as much of the Lolita look of Lili as we can, because we are new to it.

The older fans are ready for change. You have had 1-3 years to love and experience the Lolita image. For us noobies we have only had a couple months. This kind of makes me feel cheated, becuase I want to experience the Lolita image as long as you guys got to. You were ready to let the Lolita image go. But for us new fans we have only experienced the Lolita image for a couple months. It is still new for us. This is why the change has thrown me off a little bit. The Lolita image is still new to me, and I wasn't quite ready to let it go just yet. I want her to change and I am glad she has, but I am still new to the Lolita image.


I hope what I am trying to say makes sense.

Those who've claimed she's trying to avoid word-play would have a hard time explaining away why the title itself is a play on words :-P It's a portmonteau of Psychédélique (psychodelic) and Delices (delightful). Something akin to Psychodelightful in English. A pretty cool word, all in all.

I'd like to hear more about the reason for the picture being posted before I spend much effort speculating about symbolism. In all honesty, a picture that size isn't worth the disk space it uses without some sort of evidence to back it - it could be any of a hundred-million caucasian brunettes between the ages of 15 and 35 in the world.

That said, such speculation as requires no effort suggests it could be a bit from both columns. Moving on from childhood and now being responsible for the childhood of another. It could symbolize that regardless of who the woman in the photo is.

I hope its fake. Lili is beautiful in that picture, but the rest is too grungy. I want some bright pinks and black. Like what was on the cover that was posted a while back.

It has to be fake. That's simply not her style. I don't think she would approve a cover like that. She may wear those clothes sometimes, but she always looks beautiful. The way the cover is done is simply too dark for her (sends the opposite message from the one she likes to send).
