There are the usual tourist traps but as I go through the different web sites I find that there are boat trips around the island, scuba diving, jet ski's, zip lines through the trees up in the mountains, horse back riding, hiking, and there are a whole lot more than three hotels in Ajaccio. The only down side that was mentioned if you want to buy anything wait until you get back to the mainland. Since everything has to be shipped in to the island, it is about 25-30% more expensive than what you would pay at a Mall in Paris.

I'm so glad I started looking early at the different websites on Ajaccio because the more I dig the more I find to do while I'm there. I just started and there just isn't one place to go for all the information. This of course makes it a little more difficult to plan the trip since I'm dealing with at least ten of more web sites on Ajaccio for tourism around the city. Ten btw is just a starting number and probably will easily expand to thirty or more as I spend a few minutes each day on the Internet exploring Ajaccio and the area around the town.

Wow. I was just over in Mallorca a few weeks ago. They look the same! All of a sudden I have a better sense of how beautiful Ajaccio and the surrounding area must be.

What struck me about Mallorca was how far back their history goes. The island was occupied by the Phoenicians, and the Greeks, and the Romans. Looking at the brochure, Ajaccio must have a very similar history. Growing up on Corsica, Alizée must have a feeling of being alive within that history in a way that Americans can't even imagine. :)

IMHO, she really lit up the screen in her videos, and is one of the main reasons for her passionate fanbase. She is very good at looking directly at the camera when performing or interviewing, and when she does, she slays it. That's a God-given talent that most don't have. That is so true about the distance in Alizée songs. It is about 3-4 songs

By the way... I'm very well aware that it isn't an official jersey :p It was in a souvenir store among a ton of other European countries' shirts, this was the only France one. It doesn't even fit me, it's a very small Medium :D The lanyard also says France all the way around, with the flag as a background.

That must've felt great. I know there's been a few times I've been in France driving around in a rental car, hoping to hear one of her songs, but never did. It was a big let down. But at least it was extra enjoyable to be driving around in France and listening to her music on cds.

I had looked into having a hurricane named after her, after all, her name is that of a trade wind but I didn't see a way where your average person could suggest a name.

A Funny ! One time a Company needed a Delphi Programmer; so their HR Department took a COBOL Requisition and did a "mass change" of COBOL to Delphi and then sent it to a head hunter ! Ha! It said the Delphi Programmer had to have 10 Years experience. So a Head hunter asked me if I had 10 years in Delphi ? At the time I told him the program had only been out 5 years; so Nobody is going to have 10 years experience in it ! I had to sign legal documents to hold me financially responsible should there be losses by the companies when the century turned. :fear: Nothing happened. Whew!

But you know Alizée will be in your life forever when after not having her in your thoughts for a long while, she comes back in full force to rescue you from the abyss of sadness whenever you had a drink too many.
