More like a mangled mess lol! I'm not sure that I mentioned that I hate her new tattoo lol. I still love Alizee though:)
I think, me, you, and several others, have made it clear for our forearm tattoo distaste. :p

That's cropped from the original picture. I believe everything we've got are the other ones with less quality. And that's her bro on the pic, wearing a blue shirt.

at least she didn't get a full sleeve with dragons and "chinese characters" and joker-marionettes with tears and tatoos of tatoos and flames all throughout and glows in the dark with brands and that metal crap they plant under your skin....
"manganilly" does seem very plausible

I think I made that same Mona Lisa comparison or something similar to it in another thread somewhere...it was something along those lines.
So many people think they have to alter themselves to be "different" or "independent". I don't think she has that mentality to such a degree, but she might think she is just "plain" in which I say she is plain beautiful.
Plus with everybody doing something crazy with their body/appearance it actually makes them the vast majority, the one thing they didn't want to be. My style hasn't changed much over the years and I've left my body alone...as a result I am the "independent" minority lol.

The two letters on the left are pretty clearly visible (remember Hebrew is right-to-left, so these are the last two letters) and they look like resh-vav. The blurry letter on the right looks like it could be either an aleph or a shin.
I don't actually know any Hebrew, just the alphabet, so I don't know what word shin-resh-vav or aleph-resh-vav could be. Any Hebrew sholars here?
I would say definitely not Mexico and why would she tattoo that on herself in Hebrew letters? LOL another Alizée mystery. :)
Edit: Wait, that's not a resh, it's a heh. AH! I have it! The last letter might not be a vav either, it might be a nun -- I think that might be her brother's name, Johann, in Hebrew, J-H-N.
Maybe?
lol thanks for the info Deep, my friend and I have been trying to figure out this mystery guess it because we're bored lol

I don't think it's JHN or even Hebrew for that matter.
I believe it's Elvish Tengwar. I'm not very fluent, though this is my best translation.

I'm sorry, but Alizée as Sauron the Dark Lord of Evil just does not compute. :p
The more I look at that picture, the more I'm convinced that J-H-N is what that says, and that she's tattooed more or less "I love my brother" on herself. Awwwww . . .
Huh. MY sister never tattooed MY name on HER wrist. :(
(Of course that might have something to do with the fact that I'm her BIG brother . . . and maybe the time I tricked her into taking a bite of habanero pepper salsa. ;))

Why would she write her brothers name in hebrew? It would make sense if it's about jeremy since he is a jew or part jewish.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe her brother converted to Judaism, or maybe Alizée did.
Madonna is into Kabbalah and who does Alizée idealize? Plus I understand that one of Jérémy's parents is Jewish. In France it isn't a smart thing to advertise ones Jewish religion. One particular type of immigrant who happens to be 10% of Frances population, blames people who practice Judism with all the ill's of the world. :(

It probably doesn't, because to be Alizée is the wet-dream of Sauron. I think in the second age Alizée and Chuck Norris beat the sh*t out of Sauron. That's why he did that thing with the ring.

Just because one is Jewish by ancestry doesn't mean one has studied Hebrew. In any case, I doubt Alizée would ever get a tattoo of Jérémy's name. What if they split up? That could be very awkward. "Hmm, sweetheart, who's name is this tattooed on your . . ." Family members are OK, like Annily on her other forearm, or Johan on her wrist. You don't split up with a daughter or a brother.
I don't know why in Hebrew but those are certainly Hebrew letters, and I'm pretty sure that JHN is what it says. Like I said, another Alizée mystery.

Yea.
Jérémy probably has Alizée's name stitched on his floral cooking apron, so when he makes Her dinner, he remembers who his master is.
- Not to hate on the J, it's just a funny image in my head.
Looks kinda like OGRE in Cyrillic to me.

Speaking as a man who has handled the cooking in every relationship I've ever had -- because I have always been a better cook than she was -- the implication that wearing an apron (with or without floral print or one's SO's name embroidered) makes one a sub is unwarranted.
Now, a floral print apron on a man does indicated execrable fashion sense, but that's something we already know about Jérémy. :p
My guess is it's some sort of kabbalah thing, like the bracelets or hamsa hand she's been seen to wear. The letters don't mean anything to me, though I haven't studied Hebrew since elementary school, and would need to see a better picture. In terms of a person it could really be anyone, since Jewish names don't always correspond to English (mine's "חַיִים", nowhere close to "Ben").

Maybe, but Ben, I've studied the Kabbalah (which is why I know the Hebrew alphabet) and I don't know of anything in it consisting of those three letters and a heart. So I kind of doubt it.
Of course the picture's not that clear and I could be misreading the whole thing. That might not even be a heart. So maybe you're right.
im not an expert when it comes jewish stuff... but i remember my friend telling me not to get my bro's names tattoed along the insides of my fingers (5 younger bro's... one name on each finger) in hebrew because it goes against what jews believe in?
Do we have anybody here who is Jewish, or is fluent in Hebrew? Maybe they can tell us what they think it means. My friend Jake is Jewish, I'll ask him.
Fall, I'm Jewish and know a little Hebrew (not fluent), but still can't really tell you what it means. There could be more letters around the curve of her wrist or behind the watch, and even in what we do see I'm not sure if it's three or four. Could start with an alef or shin like like Deep said, but also maybe a mem or tet followed by something else (nun, vav, zayin...). Would really need a better picture. And even then would probably still be unsure of the meaning, because of what I said above about Jewish names. I'm not too interested in going all Sherlock Holmes on it anyway. It's a tat, in hebrew, probably something personal. That's all I really need to know. :)

Ben, are you saying that tatoos and piercings in general are against Jewish law? I wasn't aware of that.
Of course, Alizée isn't Jewish, she's nominally Catholic and practices . . . something we don't know about in detail, and obviously has no moral qualms about getting tatoos or, in the past, piercings.
Edit: I'm REAL sure that one of the two letters we can see clearly is a Heh. The other one could be either a Vav or a Nun. I can't tell what the first one is (the one on the right). I thought originally a Shem or Aleph, but now I think the shadow from her watch might be distorting it. If it's a Yod instead, which it could be if that dark patch that I thought was part of the letter is instead the watch shadow, and if there are no other letters, that's where I'd get Johan.
Can't be sure of this of course. Next time I see her I'll ask for a closer look. ;)

Definitely correct about the last two, but I think there could be two letters to the right of them, not one. Making the total visable four instead of three.
Ben, are you saying that tatoos and piercings in general are against Jewish law? I wasn't aware of that.
Traditionally yes, though you'll get different opinions about it these days.
And yeah Alizée isn't Jewish, but has shown interest in Kabbalah before, and those are popular tats these days, so...
That doesn't make it mutually exclusive with being someone's name though too, does it?

And she has the bad example of Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob to warn her against that particular folly.

For what it is worth, supposedly the name Jérémy, of Hebrew origin, means "exalted by JHVH." It was easy for me to look this up, because of the resources cited in my very lonely thread Silly fun with names you'll want to read (http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5321). Those of you who'd like to believe there are mystical meanings hidden in word patterns might even enjoy the romantic "horoscope" which a linked resource there provides for the pair "Alizée" and "Jérémy." I thought Benjamin WAS a Hebrew name.
Many names are of Hebrew origin. I have two: the legal one on my English birth certificate, and the Jewish one my parents chose at my naming. And they're completely different. Not everyone does this, but a lot do. So Jérémy's Hebrew name may or may not be "Jeremy", Annily's may not be "Annily", etc. Point is, it would be very hard to say what this tattoo refers to if it isn't some easily recognized word. But hey that's cool, it's personal anyway...

Just a quibble. Unless Alizée converted (and we have no evidence of that), Annily would not be Jewish. She is not old enough yet to convert herself, and Jewishness is inherited from the mother, not the father.

That's the tradition, yes, but like the tattoo thing you'll find plenty who don't adhere to it. I'm sure Alizée and Jérémy have been allowed to raise Annily however they've wanted. And hey you don't have to be Jewish to have nicknames. Johan's as good of guess as any, but again I just think it could be anyone, if a person at all.

I'm not saying this is necessarily the way Alizée thinks, just throwing out a possibility. Some entertainers, when faced with a fan perception that the entertainer feels does not properly align with reality, will take actions to change the perception.

This raises an important question. I won't offend Alizée by suggesting she would try to fool the public, but publicity people can sometimes be pretty "ingenious." How do we know that the "new tattoo" is not a Photoshop job? It's easy enough to do in a snapshot and doing it in video won't be expensive forever, especially if you shoot stereoscopic footage to make the depth extraction step easy.
Such matters have been of concern previously (http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?p=149857&highlight=Photoshop#post149857).

How many times have you been "killed" really. :p
In good ways, multiple occasions.
In bad ways... my brain refuses to acknowledge. :p
...In any case, I doubt Alizée would ever get a tattoo of Jérémy's name. What if they split up? That could be very awkward. "Hmm, sweetheart, who's name is this tattooed on your . . ." Family members are OK, like Annily on her other forearm, or Johan on her wrist. You don't split up with a daughter or a brother....
Lasers can do wonders these days.
...
And yeah Alizée isn't Jewish, but has shown interest in Kabbalah before, and those are popular tats these days, so...
Do you have any more information on this?
For what it is worth, supposedly the name Jérémy, of Hebrew origin, means "exalted by JHVH." ...
I have a gut feeling this tatoo relates to Jeremy in some way. She has one of Annily - why not Jeremy?
That's the tradition, yes, but like the tattoo thing you'll find plenty who don't adhere to it. I'm sure Alizée and Jérémy have been allowed to raise Annily however they've wanted. And hey you don't have to be Jewish to have nicknames. Johan's as good of guess as any, but again I just think it could be anyone, if a person at all.
As Alizée is not Jewish, she can do whatever she wants - including getting a Jewish based tatoo relating to a (at least partially) Jewish based husband.
Let's hope that it was photoshopped, but I'm afraid it's for real. What a waist of such a beautiful woman:(
Was that a Freudian slip? :)
Funny how much I've ended up posting in this thread, because I don't care if Alizée gets more tattoos or not, nor do I really care what this one means! :p

Do you have any more information on this?
On the popularity of kabbalah tattoos, or of Alizée and kabbalah? :) You can google search the former. As for Alizée, she's worn those red string bracelets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_string_(Kabbalah)) on dozens of occasions (she mentioned getting a bracelet by her dance teacher, either that's something else or her teacher was into kabbalah too), then once or twice she's worn a hamsa hand amulet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa). Note that both are to ward off the "evil eye", something pretty important in Corsican tradition, and even mentioned in the Fun TV interview. So maybe this tattoo is just the latest iteration of that?

That would be my guess. Of course, I've believed all along that Alizée practiced some form of magic/occultism/mysticism. There are several native Corsican magical traditions, and if I were to take a wild guess I would say that she's an initiate of one of them, the Signadori, who are healers and protectors for the most part, in a tradition handed down mostly mother-daughter or grandmother-granddaughter (there are some male Signadori but mostly it's women). I'm guessing this because of the young age from which we see signs of it, which means to me that she took it from the island. (The Signadori are also found in Italy, I believe.)
There's a natural tendency to eclecticism in magic, so it would hardly be surprising if she picked up symbolism from other schools such as Kabbalah for the same purposes. The Signadori as they do things in Corsica (mind I have no first-hand knowledge of them) use a lot of Christian symbolism, although the tradition surely predates Christianity.

This new tattoo seems to be a Kabbalah tattoo. All of it cannot be seen well in the RMJ's photo, but I believe it is one of the 72 names of God, probably the name number 49 "Vav Hey Vav". This one brings happiness and joy in life. Also the small heart fits well with this interpretation. What do you think?

Yes about the salamander, and also about Tinkerbell on her back.

Man oh man, I can only hope what you say doesn't relate to what she is doing.
There are only a few things that severely turn me off to people, and certain practices of religion is one of them. I am not liking how this is going one bit. I don't want to turn into that Matrix guy that completely turned on her, but damn, I've always highly respected her for her mental strength, good judgement, and privacy of her beliefs.

No, that last letter is not a Yod. (Actually, I don't think Jeremiah is spelled that way anyway.) You can see a Yod in the third letter to from the left. The last one is a Nun or a Vav, probably a Vav.
OK now I have no idea what this is. Back to square one.

Just don't jump to the conclusion it is about Jérémy. I hope you remember that way before Jeremiah was a husband, Jeremiah was a bullfrog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_to_the_World_(Hoyt_Axton_song))! (After Jeremiah was through with Three Dog Night he had auditioned for a cameo role as the disk jockey in Mademoiselle Juliette.) You know how Alizée loves animals - like dogs and porpoises. Maybe she just thought the small lizard tattoo needed a friend! ;)

Alizee will probably continue the tattoo of Jeremiah was a bull frog lyrics and the original sheet music on her body before she is done lol! My son was telling me last night of a friend that got a chinese letter tattoo on the side of his lower leg. An exchange student from China began to laugh upon spying his tattoo because what it actually spelled was washing machine. He thought it said peace and love. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.:)

Who knows what the reasoning is behind the exact spelling. This too may become clear with time. However, I think it is prettey clearly intending to imply that she loves Jeremy.
So, she carries a symbol of her daughter on her "active" arm, and her husband on her "receptive" (feminine side) arm. :):)

I am truly pleased our favorite singer has a wonderful life (and business) partner (in one) and it is genuinely touching she would mark it with a modest but obvious new tattoo. Happily, my previous, silly, good-natured joke (http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?p=150372) on this subject had some amusing artistic fallout.
It seems that Kermit the Frog read about the post (http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?p=150372) I made here concerning Jeremiah the (Jewish) bullfrog as possible inspiration for the latest tattoo. You probably know that Kermit isn't Jewish (his treif girlfriend, Miss Piggy, is a dead giveaway.) But he got rather envious all the same and was unwilling to simply accept my bull. In response, he engineered the awesome performance below! Besides, both Kermit and Miss Piggy have a soft spot for Jérémy. After all, his late mom, ZL, wouldn't have put either of them on the menu at home!
I was awestruck how quickly Kermit could work - so much for the narrow-mindedness of a phrase like goyishe kop. This short song has so many germane references, it makes my head spin! These include Ajaccio's most famous son, the French capital and drapeau tricolore, maritime themes, including one featuring an irresistible wind, the hula-dance-moves and even an ending featuring a flourish to Amiral Châtelain himself! (As for the red-haired wig, I think that is most likely a subtle poke at Mylène Farmer, cf. "a pig in a poke.")

I am sorry that The Muppet Show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Muppet_Show) is no longer in production. Wouldn't Alizée have made the most wonderful guest star on it? Think of her love of children, animals, animation, song and dance. (Naturally, she would have had to explain to Fozzie Bear that her teddy was already dead when she buried him in Parlez Tout Bas.) Alas, the show completed its original run even before Alizée was born. The last episode guest-starred Roger Moore, the 007 of the day. So why not a James Bond Girl, too?
The current rights to the Muppet characters are owned by la fée Clochette's employer. It licensed them for The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Muppets%27_Wizard_of_Oz), a 2005 musical telefilm starring Ella Fitzgerald-influenced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashanti_(singer)) singer Ashanti. Now, we all know Alizée can do a great performance of Ella, Elle L'a, and at The difference between Alizée and Mylène (http://bellsouthpwp.net/d/o/docdtv/Alizee/2010Jan/) I make plausible the notion that Moi... Lolita is highly derivative of The Wizard of Oz.
The telefilm followed a young woman named Dorothy Gale (with a talking pet prawn Toto) who dreams of becoming a singer, but is unable to pursue her dreams until a cross-country program like Graines de Star comes along. She has adventures in Oz, including one involving an Evil Eye belonging to a wicked witch whom she finally melts with a bathtub dunking. Overall, the film ended up receiving negative reviews from critics and over forty other shows beat in the ratings the week it ran on US television. What if it had been done differently?
Alizée sings like an angel and would have been great with aquatic life. Our Goddess partially transubstantiates to Flipper in J'en Ai Marre! performances and is an avid goldfish conversationalist and bathtub maven to boot! And who better than a Corsican girl to battle with the Evil Eye? I guess we can always at least dream about the parallel universe in which Alizée rather than Ashanti starred in this work. Anyone up for a remake?
P.S. In case you didn't know, Kermit had some help from the late Edgar "Yip" Harburg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yip_Harburg), the same lyricist who wrote all of the songs in The Wizard of Oz.
P.P.S. Thus saith Ish Kabbalah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ish_Kabibble): If you search the Web (http://www.google.com/search?q=y%20a%20eclatez%20joie&tab=nw) (in English, not French) using Google and a string which is an anagram of Alizée Jacotey, namely
<blockquote>Y a éclatez joie!</blockquote>
or in English There was a burst of joy!, the second hit (of over 50,000) you get is the text of Jeremiah 31:7 (http://scripturetext.com/jeremiah/31-7.htm).

Q. <i>What do you think about cosmetic surgery?</i>
A. <i>If it is about surgery that repairs things, I am for it. On the other hand, American style lifts and Botox injections or other stuff, I am against it!</i>

"It’s already been a long time since I wanted to tell you about that, but I was so busy these last weeks that I didn’t had time. Some people already know, as I disclosed the secret on my Facebook and Twitter at the time Alizée went on TV ( on the « Enfoirés » show). Because, for almost one year, the singer Alizée has been wearing a drawing of her daughter on her right arm, engraved in her skin and I did this drawing. How come I did it ? One year ago, I received an order by mail for a drawing meant to be a tattoo. I said to myself that it’s not common in comparison with the orders I usually receive, but I think OK, I’ll do it ! I was under stress but I did it. Transaction is made, mails are exchanged with pictures, the drawing is finished and I send it, the person is happy with it : everything is OK, I’ve achieved my work. Then, several months later, a fan of Alizée leaved me a message asking if I drew a tattoo for the singer as on Alizée’s fan forums, people are wondering and made the parallels with me.
What on earth is all this about ? So, I go and check and it’s true that the fans make the link between my drawings and Alizée’s tattoo. I recognize the drawing I made a few months ago. What a pleasant surprise ! So I get in touch with Alizée and she tells me she’s unmasked, that she reads my blog and that she loves Tokyobibi very much … Well, it’s a small world ! So, today, I devote this post to her, to thank her for appreciating my work so much that she has her arm tattooed, to thank her for the release of her new album so different from the time when she started, but I like it very much, to thank her for being a fan of Robert (Pattinson) and to thank her for having spoken of « Serial shoppeuse » in front of Laurent Boyer’s RTL radio programme HERE on April 20 (put the cursor of the player on 74 minutes to listen to the passage). And today is the perfect timing as it’s her little Annily’s birthday, the drawing I made. Happy birthday Annily !
The tattoo is not very visible on these pictures, it’s more visible here or there. Together with Alizée, we’ve decided to meet for a little homemade photo session as soon as we find time for that. So, patience The tattoo is not very visible on these pictures, it’s more visible here or there. Even though I'm against her tattoos. I can't wait to see some HD pictures of it.

That was a weird pic but I don't know what to think about it....cool?
All I must say is that the artist did certainly an excellent job drawing Annily as a cartoon, and about the tattoo...uuhh..I'm getting used to it now, not a fan of it, but ... well it's her daughter :D

Hmmm amazing nope in my opinion, but I like the drawing, like I said I'm impressed by the excellent job the artist did. The only reasons I now accept the tattoo is 1) Its a nice tattoo 2) its her daughter and 3) it's Alizée:wub:
Merci Alizée

I don't like so many tattoos, but that's my personal opinion.
Alizée knows much better what's good and what's not. She likes it and she does so. That's all.

Great find Alex! And I see that her and Bent's costumes in "We are the World" were also inspired from the drawing. She must really like that artist and her work.
Here's a better view of the tattoo that was posted in AlizeeLatino a while back:

That is such a cool story. I wasn't a fan of Lilly tatting herself up, but once I learned how much they mean to her, and the amount of thought that has gone into them, I like them a lot. Also, they are VERY well done, true works of art.
So Lilly just puts around the 'Net, surfing random blogs. Sweet.
