Wow never seen the bottom one, thanks! Yah if you could find a screenshot of it selling, that would be amazing since we could make sure how much it sold for.

This brings up a related matter . I mentioned before that when I was going through the fnac website prior to my last trip to Paris, I noticed they had a 2 posters that were ads for En Concert using this same picture . I mentioned it to another member and he said he'd like to have the other. Well I ordered them after taking a brief look at the shipping page, then after I received my bill, I found out they charged me 35 euros for shipping. It was still well worth it. The price of the poster was around $20 I believe. Now it's a very nice poster, but I don't think anyone here would buy one if they would have to pay that much for shipping.

So what I was thinking of doing was contacting this company and see if I could get a price break for ordering so many (20-30) and get them all shipped in one package. So hopefully the final price for me getting them and shipping them out, at cost, would be around $25-30. I'll have to start a thread on this.

Which same picture ? The very first post top picture I recon . . Yeahup that is a poster but if I remember correctly there are various sizes of such so which size is it you refer to ? As i'd suggested about the latest cd's project . . I'd suggest again to contact Alizée then send them to her first and see if she would autograph some including a check for shipping .
I know my ideas are usually not well received here ya'll think i'm crazy at times like this for the most part things usually happen exactly as I predict or suggest . Anyway , i've no doubt to do this would be ez . . Only would add some time to contact her , send and receive .

The poster I received was roughly 24 x 16 inches. Trying to get her to autograph them is a good idea but more of a dream than a reality, imho. How much would she want to make it worth her while? This is the type of thing her store should have been selling; not cups and t shirts.

O k I've got that poster but only the larger one 80x?? , i'd like to get the smaller one too someday . LOL I doubt she would want anything to autograph a few posters . . . The only " hard " part so to speak about doing something as such is getting an address to send them to . Now especially considering you've already paid a lot , met her , she seen what you did . . I'd guess she would remember you and knowing they were for devoted fans of AAM not to profit selling a bunch on ebay . . and happily sign off on the idea so to speak . I mean I can tell you first hand and if you like show you a ton of stuff i have autographed from a lot bigger names than her as in they get a lot of requests for such not as few as i'd assume she gets . As for obtaining her address is simple , most stars have fan mail which goes to the handler - corporate offices . So what you'd do is contact her via twitter , email or as many places as possible to get her attention about the idea and who you are . Then once she said yeah send em over , you send to her handler - offices - not home address as some maybe thinking i'm saying and done deal . The check I refer to above was meaning to pay for postage and handling not to pay her to do it . On that note what you would want to do is get two poster tubes , on that fits inside the other and prepay the shipping if possible so it's already stamped and addressed ready to go .

Now even if she wanted so much per autograph again she isn't one to me anyway who would want much to do so . Goto any autograph session or simply look online the fees are relatively small . The only ones who charge a lot for autographs are those who do get the mass amounts of requests for such and that is to prevent profit from re-sales . From my experience autographs average range from 10-15 dollars , as low as five and the most i paid was someone who rarely autographs anything was $ 80 per . . She is so sweet that again i'd think she wouldn't want anything , you are more thinking in terms it seems of the meet and greet where fees can be hefty when you include , entrance , per autographs fees , buying the items etc and so on . A lot of expenses within such , renting the venue if needed , security , ticket printing etc .

Speaking of which something i'd meant to mention about the autograph cd's , signature guarantee is a byte more costly than simply insured . I've got stuff from France and I think there insured is the same as signature receipt but for US to US I've never lost an item that was insured when sent or received . Just a suggestion for future to save ya's some pennies , not that it matters .

You're absolutely right on the merchandise they always seem to pick to sell at meet and greets as well online shops . . . Atypical of most all sessions i've been to and shoppes , its like they put a monkey in a room full of the possibilities and have them toss a few darts to choose what will be available instead of thinking like a fan or asking first those who actually buy the stuff . One of the problems there though is having the merchandise in stock and believe it or not rights to do so . It is possible she isn't permitted , all though I can tell you from stars of the past usually things turn around on that and eventually they offer the old school items up for sale / autographed or not and so on . That may not be til she is up there in age though and becomes reminiscent . Cuz like eventually the company loses it's greed as well licensing expires or even the lawyers get involved and eminent domain is established upon entity . Hopefully someday she will bust into her/relatives/co-workers long lost storage locker packed full of stuff and sell the stuff off to us heheh .

Here it is...

Thanks Ray4AJ I thought that was the one but the whole ticket picture confused myself silly enough !
FYI there are multiple versions of the smaller poster I've seen a few different listing the various venues ,
as well one without any such listings .

As far as signature vs insurance; if I had insured the packages, I believe all this would have gotten me was the replacement of a signed CD by a non- signed CD, where a signature would requie a family members signature, so I think it's the better option.I don't think insurance would have covered what the "real" value of these packages was.

Actually the amount of insurance is what you decide not what the post office says any particular item is worth , next time you goto send something ask about it you'll be really surprised how inexpensive it is . You pay X amount to insure for X amount . When you do this believe me they NEVER lose or damage your package , try it sometime and you'll see .

But I didn't mean when you sent them to yourself from France meant when sending them to those you sent to , US - US . . . The sending to other countries is a whole nother ball game and there i'd definitely do as you did with signature guarantee . As I said above and sorry so poorly writ , I don't think the French mail system has the same type of insurance and it's instead they simply just use the signature guarantee thingy . At least that is my experience when I asked others to insure when sending me stuff from France , they said whatever it is the title of such signature delivery system in France was the signed for delivery . According to those i've purchased from France anyway and i offered up front to pay whatever extra it would cost them to insure . .

Anyway its like 3 bucks to send something signature guaranteed , its like a buck fifty to send it with 100 dollars worth of insurance . Something I learned over the years to save but that only really is beneficial enough in cases of when you're sending a lot of stuff so want to save half the cost in shipping . Now another thing to consider , if you're mailing it to someone who has a lot of theft be it at the post office or at the residence , do signature . If you are sending it to most who don't have those issues id recommends saving yourself half the cost to insure . Let me add one thing there , say it was possible or you had sent yourself the items from US to US . If you had insured them , opened the package and some were broken - guess what , they owe you ALOT of money . This is something the post office or any mailing company NEVER wants to do so those packages don't get damaged and are very rarely lost . . Without the BIG label that says insured - they toss it around bounce it off the wall and don't care , with insurance uhht oh I could get yelled at lose my job , demoted and so on , handle with care . .
