The rumors are over! It's official: Alizée will appear on the TF1 program Danse avec les stars 4 this fall. She and Grégoire Lyonnet will dance together.

The fourth season of dancing with the Stars begins Saturday 28 September on TF1. The public will be able to enjoy benefits of ten couples, composed of a celebrity and a dancer Professional.

In the feminine
The present female stars to dancing with the Stars season 4, on the side of the participants, are five. Among them, two singers: Alizée and Tal. The first will be for binomial Grégoire Lyonnet dancer and the second dance with Yann-Alrick Mortreuil-Henry, newcomer this season 4. Two actresses will be also. This is Noémie Lenoir, which will be combined with the dancer Christian Millette, and Laetitia Milot, who formed a couple on stage with Christophe Licata. Miss France 2010, Laury Thilleman live, she, this adventure alongside Maxime Dereymez.

Alongside the five couples mentioned earlier, will be the duos of singer Keen V and the winner in title Fawn Hautot, Laurent Ournac comedian and Bulgarian Latin dance champion Denitsa Ikonomova, artist Damien Sargue and dancesport specialist Candice Pascal, comedian Manuel and champion of France of dances Latin American Denitsa Ikonomova, as well as the choreographer Brahim Zaibat and double champion of Australia, Katrina Patchett .

All couples are expected Saturday, September 28, 2013 on the trail of dancing with the Stars season 4, alongside the members of the jury of the show: Pietragalla, Chris marks, Jean-Marc Généreux and Shy'm.

I found a wikepedia page that has some good info on how they ran the show in 2011. I wonder if the format has changed since?

They have 8 celebrities paired with 8 professional ball room dancers.

The competition last 6 weeks with one pair being eliminated each week, until the last week where there are 3 pairs and here they determine the winner and second and third place.

In doing some searches for info on Gregoire, a couple of times gay came up next to his name. That would be unfortunate in the sense it would help if there is some type of chemistry between the two. Matt Pokura was on the show last year. That would have made for a very interesting pairing. Matt and Alizée that is and not Matt and Gregoire.

I really have to think she will excel at this. She's taken dance lessons since the age of 4, but that in itself doesn't mean that much. I'm sure there are plenty of girls out there who have done the same. The difference is in the way she moves and I'll use an example J'en ai marre in the way she flicks her hand upwards. There is just something unbelievably beautiful in the way she does it. I guess it's called natural ability. The same type of thing applies in sports. You can send junior to all the best little league teams, all the best high school teams, practice with him day after day and there is no guarantee he will ever be any good. The ones who will succeed and the ones who excel are the ones with that natural ability and she has so much of it.

We see year after year in Les Enfoires where they get together on short notice and she always looks incredible in every dance she does. She looks like she's been doing them for years. So I'm sure she's a quick study and I think these two should do very well. I can't really say how well they'll do, because I have no idea who she'll be dancing against or how gifted they might be, but I'd be tremendously surprised if she doesn't make it to that last day.

Shape wise, she is looking fantastic. It appeared she was doing more running than dancing to get in shape for this. Do you think running might be better for the figure than dancing?

Looks like we have real potential here. :)

This is just what her career needs. This could really help to remind people why they liked her before, as well as who she really is today.

I was concerned that they would saddle her with a dud. Based on the video Scruffy posted, he looks OK.

I just hope Alizée likes working with him. I will admit that I thought she was lukewarm on him in the greeting video, but I hope they grow to respect each other and find a way to work together well.

She does have a chance ..... :) :) :)

She is indeed gifted. That same ability with her hands is actually what first caught my attention. She seems gifted in body-awareness intelligence. And she definitely is a quick study.

Based on her times, it looks more like she was power walking or jogging, as compared to running. :)

Well if you do the math, her average speed is about 3 to 3 1/2 miles an hour and the net classifies that as walking speed.

If she hasn't done much running on a regular basis, I'll bet it's a combination of walking/jogging.

Doing some more math, her total time and distance is almost exactly 6 times her last session on samedi, so she must be walking or running the same course each time; probably along the coast where she had that picture taken.

That is something we've discussed before and I think we mainly attributed it to all the dancing she's done over the years, plus she used to be into kick boxing.

Her upper body is small (does she even left, bro?), so her lower body makes up for it (:wub: :p), with the assistant of her recent walking and dancing practicing (last year, she was posting pictures of herself practicing for like 5 months). And of course older stuff like the pregnancy and her 2003 schedule, dancing since four, kick boxing etc etc... It's all about balancing :cool:

May be you just got used to photoshopped pictures. Almost all magazines/websites use it. I've seen a website about celebrity photoshopped photos. You wouldn't believe how they actually look! :))

Wow! She packs a lot of power into those kicks. I had wondered if she had kept up her kick boxing skills over the years and it certainly looks like she has. I think that's probably why her legs look a little more sizable than just a plain dancer's would and it looks like these two are having a great time together which must be a big plus for what they are there for.

I'm not sure I'm buying any of that stuff :) I love this video to bits but this is all just promo for the show. It strikes me that they are trying to make us believe that Alizee is struggling to make the grade and we all know, don't we? that she is a very fit and capable dancer. The give away, for me, is in the first 30 seconds where she repeatedly ends the routine with a fairly pathetic attempt at a move which she is more than capable of executing perfectly. It looks to me as if she is actually trying not to laugh while she is doing this move deliberately badly. I'm sure this is all scripted. However, I think we get a glimpse of the 'real' Alizee when she gets into the kick boxing. She really seems to lose herself in it and forgets about the camera for a few moments and she's just the cutest thing on earth. It reminds me of the spinning around near the end of Toc de Mac on the En Concert video - sublime! :sstruck:

That's true, for the sake of drama and entertainment. You see it often with the older contestants in the US version, and for everyone there's always a "struggle" in the videos shown before each performance. They can't get a move right, arguing with their dance partner, yelling, stuff like that. Of course, the most important bit is the dances, so we'll see what's really going down then. :)

That's what I think too. What you'd be the point to show to the viewers that , as Alizee got a good danse level, everything goes perfectly right with her routine? They need to create a tension.

dont know how it works... we have the same show, but people never voted, just the jury... the last 2 dance teams of the day, made another dance and the jury said which goes out... if I remember good

to be honest Tal's performance was really lacking of... everything? First of all she wasn't doing so very much, her dancing partner was moving more than she did (that was my personal impression) and there was no passion in her moves... I don't know it didn't convince me at all. it looked more like aerobics than actual dancing. She seems to be a nice girl and she's a friend of Lili too but that doesn't mean I have to love what she was doing there.

She'll probably do better next week I don't know. But even if I wouldn't be such a fan of Alizée and her love so much I'd have to say that she really was the best. Everything was great about her performance, so much energy and passion and joy... and that from a person who is normally so shy and reserved. She put everything into this performance. And she won.

I have checked several pages with articles about the show tonight (PurePeople did their own ranking and gave Alizée a 10/10) and they all think the same. She deserved to win today. She deserves to win this season and take the trophy in the end. And I really hope the audience will see that too.

The first thing that came to mind when reading your post is all of Alizée's fake fans who have abandoned her, have lost out on being part of this wonderful event. :)))

Fake fans are those that are only around for the good times and when things get rough or slow down they're gone in a flash.

I've given up with that forum. The mood is always so negative. That's not how I want to feel when I think of Alizee.

And as someone who dabbled in dancing growing up...going from modern jazz and ballet to ballroom dancing is incredibly difficult. I was never very good, lol. You have to be so fast with your feet. It's amazing she picked it up so quickly. She is a very talented dancer. I saw the look on the other contestants faces, they totally had the "we're screwed" look.

Thanks to ALS, BigDan, Karin and Lapinshous and others for the pictures and videos they've posted with an extra measure of thanks for Lappy once again for the timely translations which adds so much to it.

It took almost 10 years, but once again Alizée is at the top of the entertainment industry in France. It could be for just a week, or a few weeks, but I think it will be much more than that. I would think Alizée will be getting a lot of press in different magazines this week. That will be something to look forward to.

I was kind of jealous of Tal for Alizee's sake. I've been looking at some of the French music polls to see where many of the singers in the Buzz awards are ranked and it was her name I saw mentioned most. But we've seen a few pictures of her and Alizee together back stage in DALS and it looks like they got along real good and if she's gone, it might have an affect on Alizee's comfort level there, so I hate to see her go.

Well she definitely brought her A game! I mentioned on the chatbox earlier that they will go easy on them in the first week, and that the bar will be raised each time. However, Alizée's level of performance was that of one much later in the competition. If she can keep it up, and she totally can, she's got a spot in the top 3 already.

Wow, wow, wow! That was HOT- I think my iPad melted!! I had the same thought as Euphoria, when I saw the other contestants' faces- lol!!! I really liked that one judge's comment "Lolita has gone; Alizée has arrived!" Then again, for her real fans- she's always been here.


Glad to se her get some well-deserved recognition. Her talent is incredible.

Well put. It was obvious from the one brief black and white clip that Tal is not a dancer. She may have made a mistake by accepting the offer to be on DALS.

After seeing the B&W clip, I wondered how the pro would cover for her. If you watch the performance carefully, he structured it so that she did not have to make any complicated moves. And, he literally carried her through part of it (and not only this pair, there were two other pairs where the pro did the best they could with people who simply cannot dance at this level).

She will be one of the first 3 to go. I just hope she is not first.

I still cannot contain my joy at this. I'm walking around with the biggest, stupidest grin on my face and no one here can understand why. What I saw last night, quite apart from the brilliant spectacle, was 10 years of pent-up frustration, anger and determination explode into a performance that she's always felt she just had to give at some point in her life. Definitely on of the best days in her life. She simply smashed all her fear (as she was afraid in beeing dismissed upon the first show or getting a bad result) and they both (dont forget Gregoire) just made a perfect show. I felt so damn happy watching it. Although, her crying made me soo sad, the more her dancing and her acting and her cuteness brought me joy and happieness. :)(:

No, I wanted to see the faces last night of those in the media who have marginalized Alizée over the last five years or so as a has been who's time in the spotlight has come and gone.

Someone mentioned that her partner is zero wins and three loses probably thought when they partnered him with Alizée that his record was going to zero wins and four loses fast. Lets face it the media hasn't been very supportive of Alizée. I bet he got the surprise of his life when he started rehearsing with Alizée. :D
