I can see things like maybe he didn't really worship her at feet (neither does Gregoire, right in front of her anyway lol), and I don't think women like that in a guy. He obviously had other options, and I do think women like men with options other than them yet still are their girlfriend, since that means said men are highly valued and/or capable.

Yes, this is true. But I think that this only happens at the beginning. I mean, I think the first thing is to feel beloved. Obviously if you see other girls who want your man, it can help. But if your goal is to find someone to spend your life with, you shouldn't care about other people's opinions or, anyway, you have to focus on how that person makes you feel. Another impression/guess of mine is Jeremy likes girls who are considered hot more than he likes girls for who they are. Between seeing her pregnant and tabloids trashing her for cheap views, he realized his 'conquest' had run its course.

In my opinion, when you have a girlfriend/boyfriend there are some little gestures that prove this and that I consider as kind of ritual. I mean, I would hold only my girlfriend's hand that way... But I don't know, to be honest I think that I'm too rigid about this kind of things. I don't know how a couple should behave. I tend to see things too morally and I don't even know what I would do in the same situation.

Try not to overthink it. There are no rigid rules. If you love somebody you want to be with them because you enjoy their company. Alizee has a lot to offer and it can just be as simple as her and Jeremy were just badly mismatched and they rushed into things before they realized it.

Greg found the key to her heart, and that is to be present in her life.

I love the point at 1:50 where Greg told Alizee to make a very serious expression to support the dark role she was to play. Alizee put on her serious face, and Greg broke up laughing because she was so adorable. Even when she puts that face on in the finished dance, I can't help laughing.

Well those wiggles were a large part of what made her famous in addition to her beauty,her personality and her voice. They helped put bread on the table. They brought in a lot more money and continue to bring in more money than an engineering career would have with a lot less work. A lot of women would love to have that problem. Feel blessed that men loved and still continue to love, those wiggles.

I'm working on week 9 at the moment and hopefully will have it up by at the latest, tomorrow morning. Week 9 was great because there was so much of that show that included Alizee, not to mention the end result, but that makes it longer to upload.

Some of the videos I used for my videos were in NTSC format and some in Pal. If anyone has problems with one file format freezing, let me know and I can upload the other format to see if it works better.

The way she wiggles and sways her hips makes it look so easy, but there is not many women that can do it like her. How many people got hooked when Alizee starts to sway her hips at the beginning of La Isla Bonita? The way she moves is something to behold, and it's not just the guys that see the beauty of it.

I'm pretty certain I won't see anybody like Alizee again in my lifetime. Maybe the world will have to wait 100 years. Maybe never again. Her talents are one thing, but adding her personality puts her in a league of her own.

I still performance in Amsterdam the most.. between not having as much makeup and it looking mostly improvisational I loved it the most.. I remember I had seen her music video first and thought it was interesting/different, yet her Amsterdam performance just made me realize I was seeing something I've never seen before, and still haven't. I still watch that Amsterdam video.. I wish there was a higher res version of it. I even tried that topaz gigapixel on each from of the video, but it's just way too low res to make it look actually better.

Sadly, you are right. Young people dream of being in the entertainment industry, but so few make it big time. I guess you can make that case for sports as well. The chance for stardom and riches is so small that it is hardly worth the effort trying to get there. Alizee was the Black Swan, and was in the right place in the right time. I cannot explain the Alizee Phenomenon.

I was neighbors to a young couple who ate EVERY meal out. Their house did not even need a kitchen, except maybe to make their morning coffee. Personally, I love to cook, and my ancestry includes a number of restaurateurs and even a cook to Russian aristocrats before the revolution. To make a meal that family and/or guests love is a great privilege. The fact that Alizee loves to cook and bake speaks volumes about her. She desires to make people happy, and that is totally in line with what we know about her. :)

I think Mylene thought that Alizee looked like a Lolita. As far as Alizee turning out to be such a beauty, I don't think Mylene could have foreseen that. I think Mylene got lucky.

In this photo Alizée is cute. And this is a fundamental feature of a lolita. She had already great beauty but obviously she was just 15, so I would say that she was like a rough diamond. But don't forget she sang Moi lolita in Amsterdam and during Les enfoires 2001 less than 1 year later that photo, so...
In my opinion, Mylene just saw her as perfect for the song she had written. Then she proved to be a master in shaping that diamond. But I think that she was the first person on this planet to be surprised by Alizée's success. It was a mixture of talent (of both of them), perfect timing and luck. The only problem is trying to understand what the proportions of these three things are. As far as I'm concerned, I'll say almost equal parts. Maybe Alizée's talent could be the biggest factor, as we've seen later. But, as I said, in this kind of business talent isn't always the most important part.

At Graines de star she didn't have her moves and her charm on the stage yet, but her beauty was already there... It was already blooming.

Boudennat is probably the real genius, rather than Mylene.

Although it was Mylene who first saw Alizee on TV, it is possible that she merely brought Alizee to Boudennat's attention, and that it was Boudennat who saw the real potential in Alizee, not Mylene.

Although Mylene and Boudennat work together, I wouldn't be surprised if Alizee's image was crafted mostly by Boudennat. Besides being a composer, Boudennat is also a movie director.

I agree at 15, Alizee was "cute" but not much more than that. Referencing the picture you posted, she had a nice complexion but her look was rather plain. I'm going back in time to when I was 15, a sophomore in high school. Just for fun let's say Alizee was in my grade attending the same school and she wasn't discovered by Mylene or anything like that. I remember a number of girls in my grade when I was a sophomore who were extremely pretty and "developed" like the senior girls. Of course they got all the attention from the boys. There was nothing about Alizee's early look that would have made her stand out among the others, all other things being equal.

Oddly enough, some of the prettiest girls in my sophomore class didn't look as pretty as time went on. The "late bloomers" only got better looking as graduated high school and went through college. Alizee falls in the camp of "late bloomers," and what happened to her in her late teens can only be considered remarkable. Just when you thought she couldn't get more beautiful, she did.

There was no way Mylene could have predicted this. I'm not sure about it being because Alizee looked like a Lolita, because what does one supposed to look like? Good looks doesn't mean certain success in the music industry.

Maybe it was Alizee's ability to dance that drew Mylene to her? Even if Alizee turned out to be average looking, incorporating dancing into her performances might give her an advantage.

Maybe it was because Alizee was Corsican? The mainland probably ignores the island for the most part, and the introduction of this cute girl from Corsica coming from humble origins might be a curiosity.

I wish Mylene wasn't so private and would be willing to answer the question about what she saw in Alizee at that time.

For me, what I can for sure pinpoint is that it was 2006. I remember having my windows open because the weather was starting to warm up and having a nice breeze in my house smelling like spring during the evening. In Texas, this comes pretty early, like late February or early March. I saw JEAM for the first time and my exposure to Alizee continued daily, so I equate her to spring. It's a pretty accurate picture. :)

Maybe it was Alizee's ability to dance that drew Mylene to her? Even if Alizee turned out to be average looking, incorporating dancing into her performances might give her an advantage.

But how would Mylene know this? Alizee didn't dance on Graines.

Maybe it was because Alizee was Corsican? The mainland probably ignores the island for the most part, and the introduction of this cute girl from Corsica coming from humble origins might be a curiosity.

Its very possible that was a factor. Also, the name Alizee is unusual--- people would remember it.

I wish Mylene wasn't so private and would be willing to answer the question about what she saw in Alizee at that time.

I'm sure Mylene told Alizee what it was. Has anyone ever asked Mylene or Alizee? Maybe no one has ever asked.

This comment was from last week on my video history of Alizee. I made 2 versions of her video history. The first one I made before I uploaded it to Youtube was 22 minutes. At that time, the longest video I could upload to YT was 10 minutes so I had to edit that first video quite a bit. Eventually the limit was upped and I was able to upload the full video. This is the full video. Unfortunately my video editing skills were very lacking back then. I improved the 10 minute one, but it could still use a lot more improvement.

Google translate doesn't work on this. Does anyone have an idea of what it says?
I went to his page and there is absolutely nothing on his page.

The "ortiz" word stood out, being that it is a common Hispanic surname. That word did not translate to anything else. I moved to the word "seni", and that is actually a Turkish word for "you".

Thinking I was onto something, I put the whole sentence in the translator from Turkish to English. It translated a couple of words, then google gave me a suggestion as it seemed to detect a few typos.

What it suggested was "Sinem seni ortiz yildan beri", which is fairly close to the comment. The English translation is "My cinema has been around you since the year."

I think this is about the best I can do. I am fairly certain there is one or more typos in there, and perhaps the grammar is off.

His name looks like Russian letters.

This comment was made apparently by someone from Poland on the video I put together for Youtube for the song Alcaline. I had explained what I did in the description of the video but if he doesn't speak English, maybe he wasn't able to read it or maybe just didn't see it.

I was almost overcome with emotion after reading this comment on Alizee's 4 appearances in Grained de Stars. I suddenly realized millions of people downstream of where the water was being turned off may die of thirst. Many species of animals may grow extinct due to lack of water. I decided to try to find a better resolution video of the Festival de Alcalá de los Gazules in 2003. I thought to use Google Earth to look for TV stations in the area, and I sent messages to a few, translating my message into Spanish with Google, but after doing a Google search for "Festival de Alcalá de los Gazules," I found the organizers of the festival now have a FB page. I sent them a message asking about the performance in question and got this reply:

"Hello! Afraid not, sorry 😅perhaps they can help you at the archives of Canal Sur- RTVA (the Andalusian public TV). I wasn't working there when this performance happened and the last edition of the Festival happened also a while ago, we sort of kept the account for previous publications to be accessible.
Hope you find what you need! All best, Álvaro."

So, I sent an e-mail to a couple of different offices there, but it looks like the one we would need to contact is their "Sales of Images" dept. Unfortunately, that department says because of covid-19, they are not accepting requests from individuals.

Maybe we can send them a message as an organization, citing our forum and FB page? I could try that later in the week, unless I hear back from one of the other e-mail addresses at this site.

This video takes me back to a hot summer of 2002 when the Festivalbar stopped in Italy and Alizee participated in 4 evenings. Something puzzles me. I had know of "these" 4 performances because I had looked into them while planning my trip to Italy. I decided to go to Pistoia where 2 of the shows was held and Taormina because they were such beautiful locations but Baciami, not so much though I'm sure it is a beautiful "area".

What puzzles me is the YT comment says "This video takes me back to a hot summer of 2002 when the Festivalbar stopped in Italy and Alizee participated in 4 evenings.".

There are only 2 performances at Festivalbar that happened in 2002. The other two took place in 2003. There could have been 2 in 2002 that we don't have videos for or maybe that guy was talking about the 4 performances in years but something was lost in the translation.

I'll have to check the Czech data base or Alizee Bible.

During one of her appearances in Festivalbar in 2003 (the one in Baciami Versilia Toscana Italy), Alizée had a little bit of an equipment malfunction and twice had to adjust her microphone. You can see it at the 0:40 and 1:30 marks.

I've shown her videos to many, many a person. As far as family and co-workers, I gave them the full monty with J'en ai marre pour Laurette and Moi Lolita in Amsterdam. That was a mistake. Even though those performances were so sexy, I thought people close to me would see there were so many other qualities in her that they would see past that sexiness and that was a mistake. Unless they take the time to look into her, which they won't, they are going to focus on what the obvious and that's a shame

So when I now show someone close a J'en ai marre video. It's usually the one in Pistoia or in Spain or the ML performance she did in 2003. Then if they want to see more, I may bring out the heavy artillery.
