and I thought Alizee was always a nice name but I never heard of it until my friend said the name and then months later I found out about Alizee!!!!!!!!!

There are threads which discuss (and worship!) Alizée's face, nose, feet, hair and even forehead! But until you, no one here ever noticed how pretty her NAME is. Long ago, I researched the name Alizée and reported the results at Silly fun with names you'll want to read. But the thread died of loneliness - no one ever replied. Even if you do not post a reply, I hope you will enjoy reading it.

There are a limited number of sounds one can make with the Latin alphabet and its derivatives. So perhaps it is not surprising that with so many people in the world, there are many unique personal names which sound similar. As a relevant example, take Alice.



The name Alice sounds somewhat like Alizée and Alizah, among other names. It is supposed to derive from the original German name Adalheidis. The Old French version was Adelais, which in today's French is Adélaïde. That is why I now mention the musical performance by Alizée I discussed in detail last year here. I offered the idea there that the photo of Alizée on the cover of her Psychédélices album was an allusion to Lewis Carroll's Alice. Therefore I am pleased to see Alizée portray this role this year at Les Enfoirés.



Is it true that under French law, children born in France must be given three prénoms? If so, do you know what Alizée Jacotey's other two prénoms are?
