Default Anyone a musician?

I've been working a lot on my playability skill, ranging from my training on about eight instruments. I've been the main lyricist/vocalist/guitarist for my individual blues/progressive band for a while, and often my ideas cross with each other.

I've written some songs on topics pertaining to either passively or blatantly on:

-Rock and Roll
-Nature
-Alizée
-Random stuff

So if you're a musician, skilled or not, just please give me the info on your gear, your instrument, or have you any lyrics to share, because I have tons! I could indefinitely use this thread as a way to get your opinions on musical equipment, I can't stay Mr. Gibson Guitar man forever!

I am, but I'm a boring musician. I play flute and piano.

Hey the piano can be badass.

PRS guitars huh? I've always considered them, how's the tone and the weight?

Okay, if I could, changing this name to "Musicians: What is your Gear" thread.

I have been playing the guitar for a long time. You can look up my other posts and listen to my crap if ya want to.

I play a cheap yamaha pacifica 112 which I like better than my expensive Ibanez. I also play a Yamaha FG series acoustic and a cheap no name bass. I use a Line 6 amp and RiffWorks for recording my songs. I am just now starting to use Ableton and other pro tools for recording.

Yea, I really can't comment on the American made PRS guitars, I have only played them in the store and they are warm and thick in sound. I had a student model PRS as a 1st guitar, and I loved it. Fairly light Mahogany, which felt good, but I feel there was a tone loss from it if you played clean, effects however were amazing with that guitar. I should point out that I thought the PRS SE had the cleanest tone until I bought the Michael Kelly. They are a small company in Florida, just a handful of people. One of the owners makes the Rockfield pickups. I believe the Michael Kelly Hourglass Q is extremely similar to an American PRS. Its a wonderful guitar. Heavy Mahogany, Maple Cap, 22 fret 24 3/4 scale.

PRS SE left, Ibanez Hollowbody, Michael Kelly Hourglass right

I love the Pacifica 112. I bought one a while back and its a very clean guitar. Nice tone. Ill keep it forever. I just started using Ableton as well. Came with my Toneport UX2. I did buy Amplitube, that software makes my real amps sound terrible.

Yamaha Pacifica 112 Alder body, Europe model
