I have read all the comments in this post before i typed this and i do agree with alot of you. Alizee's eyes would hold you transfixed, then when she shows that smile, all thoughts cease to run in your mind, and then she lets out that beautifull voice like water pouring into a crystal fountain. Its more than the looks that seems to captivate you when you listen to her sing.
I first found out about Alizee when i went on vacation to France, heard Gourmandises and Moi Lolita, and was captivated by her voice, even if i didnt know much french back then. Then i dug deeper into her media records and found out alot about her. Her shyness on stage, but her willingness to perform, her charity work, her meetings with julia and jessica, her life as a teenager in Corsica, and i came up with this conclusion. Alizee is very ambitious, with a great heart of gold, figuratively speaking, and is a very intelligent woman. I am younger than most people here i think...and in my generation, i dont find much ladies with such a heart or personality as Lily's. (that fact really makes me gravely depressed) Will there ever be a second Alizee for me? i dont think so, even if its a clone, i dont think i can possibly forget how Alizees first appearance struck me like a thunderbolt.(unless i get brainwashed) Alizee is truly a queen of her kind not because of her looks or her music, but her personality has truly won my heart. (well, her public personality did) A second Alizee would be a great thing for the world. But my heart only has room for one Joan of Arc of my time. P.S.-I bought "The Count of Monte Cristo" in France, it's a great book, a so i dubbed myself in the AA forums, i suggest you all read that book or i will personally shoot down all of you P.P.S.-just joking Quote:
oh, btw, Lolita the book was aimed at romance and heartbreak, just like Romeo and Juliet. but not at anything to do with sick men. The author was an artist, not a pedophile. I can understand if you dont like such a feeling, but YES, you ARE reading too much into it. Anyway, enjoy the book, and enjoy Alizee's music, it doesnt matter what they think about you mate Last edited by Ben; 06-04-2008 at 05:46 PM.. Reason: Merged. Please do not double post. |

Yeah it's very difficult to explain to other people but my Infatuation (hence my forum name) with Alizée completely stems from ....words are failing me here.... an artistic stand point? But its more than an artistic standpoint its almost spiritual. But i don't think of it as Idol-worship either. Hmmm....makes me wish I was fluent in French mayhaps there are words to describe my feelings in that language. It's the feeling Scruffy got when he was showing his co-workers Alizée videos and they didn't completely understand him. It's the feeling Roman seems to have at all times for our favorite Corsican! It's the feeling that makes brad (and whoever else i don't know about, who keeps this site up) keep this site going. It's the feeling that makes Ciara want to do a podcast about a french pop singer. It's the feeling that makes TheBarrett want to play his guitar or piano that much more. It's a feeling of happiness and fun.....good times! Cheers to everyone that posts on these forums. I've had a bit much to drink and am rambling, so's I'm sorry....If i just spilled a drink on you....i'm sorry again....Cheers! |

@Scruffy - about giving Alizée the Lolita book, I think I can understand why they did that and if she was singing the song they had to do something to explain it at least, but I always thought that was rather incredible having read it after discovering Alizée. I just can't imagine Alizée reading that book. Kinda horrifying. Though, for me, I understood the point of the book and it was very powerful for me. I can see why it has so long been popular, a classic really. If I was as young as some people on these forums I might think the same thing about the potential of Alizée's daughter, but no I'm sure she'll always just be Alizée's daughter to me, though who knows, maybe she'll be a great singer and I'll like her music should I live so long. I don't really have any expectation of Annily being a singer though. She's only 3 right now.

1. Shes very talented. 2. Shes extremely beautiful 3. Shes not a b*t*h, shes a sweetheart and very caring of her fans. (shes not stuck up and full of herself) She seems like the type of girl who would would very easily be friends with if you knew her.

I think we all can sum up our opinions to something similar to FRA's post right here.
