What did you say? Did you meet her at a signing or what?

HHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL YEAH!
Yup. Day of release, she did an autograph signing at the Virgin Megastore on the Champs in Paris. Myself and a couple others flew out to meet her and buy the disc within seconds of it going on sale. I got to talk with her briefly in French, found out she recognized me from her Myspace (I was the first American to be friended by her, and was somewhere in the first 10 people overall), and got the Vinyl, normal CD, and Deluxe CD/DVD autographed :-) I'm in the background of a couple pictures of the event that are on her Myspace now. The moment I first saw her is burned in to my memory more clearly than anything else I can recall in my entire life.

I'm sorry that some of the forum members are getting "Alizée'd out".
I'm sure not! Every day, I listen to her songs and watch the videos at work, vote for her on Radio Atlantis hourly, and do everything I can do to support her. I have all of her CD's and always try to pickup other memorabilia of hers as I can, when I see something I like. I have been playing guitar since 1955 and professionally since I was 12. I am so not into american music anymore, except for the songs I have to learn, which is business, so that's fine. All I listen too is French pop and especially Alizée. I have not grown at all tired of her and am just as excited about her new happenings as I always have been. Everyone has a different opinion, tolerance level for different things, and a different approach to how they listen too or pick music that they like, so it is normal that there is some attrition here. Hopefully, after giving Alizée a break, these people may come back just as strong in their love for her as they originally had. As for me, I see no end in sight, and am so happy that I feel this way. What amazes me about the Alizée effect is the age range of her male fans.
It seems to run from twelve years through men in their sixties. I wonder how many bands can show that much range in their fan base. Women on the other hand seem to be limited at the upper range to the late twenties.

this is off topic but do you guys ever wonder if other big female acts have fan forums like Alizee?
i mean i'm sure they do but do think they have such a devoted fan following and such an active fan forum? i don't think Jessica Simpson has fans from Europe coming to the U.S. for signing sessions like Alizee has fans from the U.S. going to Europe if i free time this weekend i might do some research as for being "Alizeed Out" well hasn't happen to me and i don't see it in the foreseeable future

Stones. I know 6 year olds who sing 'Brown Sugar' (To my shock), and my great-grandfather (and all his friends) still rock off to the Stones. This is a sign of a classic, Alizée is not going to pass-and-fade, she'll persist even if she stops her musical career, which, I hope won't happen. Quote:
Nope, except perhaps, Madonna? Half of the fact that hits us english-speakers home is the fact that she's singing in a foreign language (a Romance Language as well!), which in a dark manner, is some sort of alluring magical spell.
