Whoa, what a game, Russia beat Holland, who was bitch slapping Italy and France. They exploited the their weakest link, thier defense. That was a pathetic display by Holland. Too bad Holland didn't choose to play that free form of football in this game and starting playing too defensevily in the beginning of the game and they couldn't even defend when it counted. Props to Russia for winning. Hiddink have done it again, he's a genius, he needs to coach France now,lol. That is what I call a great coach. Every team he touches turns to gold.

Since there is a kiss of death for every team that wins their group getting knocked out in the next stage, Spain will lose tomorrow becuase they won their group, just like Portugal, Holland, Croatia. I expect the Italians to go far now and win the tournament becuase Italy is one of those teams, kind of like France that you have to knock out in the early stages or else they get stronger and stronger as they progress through the tournament. I expect Spain to disappoint again just like all the other tournaments where they win all their games in their group matches like they did in '02 WC and '06 WC but come the quarter-finals they get knocked out. I don't see Germany beating Italy, they always lose to Italy just like Brazil always loses to France.

This tournament is turning into a messed up tournament, 2 of the 4 teams in the semi-final weren't even supposed to make it that far.

Damn, The Netherlands lost, the first goal Russia scored against The Netherlands could've so been saved by Van der Sar, but I guess there was a little hesitant moment.

I expect now, the winner of Spain vs. Italy should win this.

Well that was a real stunner.Absolutely insane atmosphere and a thoroughly deserved win.I was fortunate enough to be the crowd with the Russian supporters and it was great.Those guys and girls really know how to party after a game.In fact I only got back to my hotel at 9am ! Too many vodka shots

Arshavin was a real gem.He has made an incredible difference to that team since returning from suspension.

I'll have to take an afternoon nap to get ready for the Spain-Italy game although sadly I won't be there in person for that match.
