Let's start up a base of operations in say, three major cities across the states?

New York is definitely a must, but how about Los Angeles? San Francisco? Chicago? Seattle?

The United States is a big country, at least I felt it was during my trips there, so we'd need to spread it out, but still keep concentration on the major sites of operation.

The more people can make a pilgrimage to these bases of operation, the more frequent we can draw in the attention of new fans/random people, and perhaps convince them to help after they've gotten a slight dose? This would increase numbers massively and then, just then, we might have something...

Yeah, definitely. Though like I said, it would be best if we had 5-10 people. But if not, two is still better than nothing. I'll let you know, and we'll have to decide on some stuff to burn and print up before then!

Ill list the major cities of the us by population, you tell me which ones you want
New York City
Los Angeles
Chicago
Houston
Phoenix
Philadelphia (very close to NYC though, only about an hours drive)
San Antonio
San Diego (very close to LA about 2 hours drive maybe if I remember correctly from when i was there)
Dallas
San Jose
Detroit (the worst city in the US in terms of crime)
the ones I bolded are the ones i think should be bases of operation.

NYC, LA, and Phoenix seems great.

I'm still skeptical about the midwest/deep south states, that's where all the 'radical national freedom fries and whatnot' people are usually stereotyped to be located in...

I'd take the Los Angeles base, i've been there, and it's huge on the DJ scene, perhaps a couple of persuasive tricks and/or legal advertising can help this front. AC Mix lives in San Diego, but I think he could help with LA, as well as some other Californians (ready to work with an Englishman of course!)

got news for you that's all over, north south east west. Anywhere in the Us really.
I think the DJ scene is biggest here in NYC; I have a DJ who lives next door to me. Too bad I hate his guts so sorry I cant have anything to do with him!

I try to further knowledge of Alizée whenever I can... I'm always playing her songs around friends, bringing her up whenever France is being discussed in a positive light, and often just bringing her up out of nowhere. I've gotten a few people interested, but it's been slow going.

I think the top 3 would be good. Only because I live close to Chicago

But it is somewhat logical, left-right-middle. But in that case you would probably also want something like Houston for the south.

And about the whole playing music around friends thing, I am a bit afraid to because I am sure my friends would not take kindly to it, especially for how they know me. I have showed my cousin, but he doesn't seem like he will pursue anything. I bet if I bring it up again he might.

If we're triangulating here, don't forget the San Francisco Bay area. There is no one city here that is huge, but that's because the bay area consists of many smaller towns all clumped together around the bay.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Bay_Area

Rather than a single city with suburbs like New York or Chicago or Los Angeles, it is a single metropolitan region with no clear urban center, or perhaps with three: San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.

I have a feeling that this area would be more open to Alizée's music than a lot of places in the U.S., because it is so culturally diverse and politically progressive.

lets stress the word stereotyped

Michigan is traditionally a blue state

Chicago is vey liberal (as far as i know)

and most of the nation, where ever you're looking, has been disillusioned by the current administration

and i think there are quite a lot of republicans/conservatives on this forum so political outlook might not be too much of a factor

Alizee's beauty is universal and something that we all are quite interested in

in fact if you look at Alizee's fan map on her official site i believe the largest concentration of fans is in the Chicago/Indiana/Missouri area

edit: one of the largest concentrations
others being of course NY, FL, and CA and surprisingly states like Kentucky, Georgia and other southern states
