Well hey, lets not be greedy! I'd settle just for some info to start. Like "new version" as in a remix, or a totally new recording a la La Isla Bonita 2008?

Woah... Hold a sec, where in the world did you get the idea it was new? They played the studio version. It was NOT new. But it was a great show, I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to tell you guys earlier. but I was at work. they gave a little bio and played songs from all her albums, french and english, en concert performances, you name it... And TW0 HOURS they also mentioned at the end about the work in progress for a new album which I found kind of interesting

*headdesk*

Bleargh. Serves me right for getting my hopes up...

(Y'know, I find I say that a lot around here. You'd think I'd learn, but apparently you'd be incorrect.)

Bummer about CTT. Interesting about the new album, I've heard that a few times now, though even if true it could still mean years before it's out...

Anyway, back on topic. I'm trying to put together an LTNY Sampler DVD to hand out at the Yelle concert next month, and I wanted to ask all of your opinions on the track list.

A few restrictions: I want to keep it short, 5 clips or so, again so as to fit all information on the disc label. For quality I'm also limiting the selection to clean, logo-less videos we already have in NTSC format. In other words, stuff from the Tout Alizée DVD, the Mexican edition of En Concert, and the Psychédélices Special Edition bonus DVD.

This is kind of the way I see it now:

1. Moi Lolita Music Video
2. J'en ai marre Music Video or Performance
3. Amelie m'a dit Live Music Video
4. Mademoiselle Juliette Music Video
5. Fifty Sixty Music Video

Track 2 is what I'm debating most: JEAM Official Video or Tube D’un Jour performance? The performance has obvious advantages for attracting new (male) fans, but I'm wondering if it's worth breaking the format of all music videos for, not to mention it's an image that Alizée is trying to move away from...

I think it would be better to start with fifty sixty because that is what is most current. About the JEAM vid... the image is an issue so the music video would probably be a better choice than the well... you know

I agree. But, you know, the performance of "Gourmandises" at Absolument Été also has the power to single-handedly draw male fans, and isn't so...you know (as Amigo! put it ). But in my opinion, all music videos is a better choice. Plus, there's always youtube...all we can do is plant the seed, what the recipient of the CD does afterward is up to him.

That's out of the running since we don't already have it in NTSC format. I could do the conversion, but it saves a step if I don't have to.

About the order, good point. It's chronological now and I could just flip it. Or is there another specific arrangement you all think is better?

Perhaps you can re-edit it to include something that says, "J'en ai Marre, 2003" blah, or something.

Give the blissful tasters a chronological attack. If you know?

Looks good to me, but yeah maybe reverse chronological order. Hmm. Well, I think the Gourmandises music video is a masterpiece, but maybe it doesn't fit in as well as that other stuff. Oh well. Idéaliser could have made a good video for the alternate style that she seems to be interested in expressing. Oh, and she's pretty damn sexy in the JEAM video too; so... whatever.
