Heh, no. Just didn't have the chance, or the energy, to respond yesterday, is all. The Christmas season in retail is hell on Earth, and even up here, the day after American Thanksgiving is when the starting gun goes off. I am so dreading the next four weeks...

Hmm, I wonder. Given how much support she's seen from Latin America this time 'round, particularly Mexico...I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see her try at least a song or two in Spanish on an exclusive version of the next album. It would almost be guaranteed to be a hit, wouldn't it?

Yeah, just because it would be in spanish, it would be a guaranteed hit in Mexico . I don't know about the rest of the world.
But as far as I know, she speaks more english than spanish. Actually, I think her spanish is not good enough to keep a little conversation . And she has said it, no singing if you dont understand the language, the extact quote:

" I find it totally ridiculous to sing in a language you don't understand, so... because I don`t think you can feel the same emotions--you can't convey the same things, because you sing words you have learned phonetically and it does not make any sense, so that's why I decided to take up english."

So I hope she is taking spanish lessons and making a big effort .

Whoopsy , I must say, I never saw a spanish single coming . the "long time" was less than a year.

Hmm, six months since we last looked at this. Let's take a peek at iTunes and see if anything's changed.

• • Gourmandises: "A quoi rêve une jeune fille" Dang, I have played this a lot since rediscovering it a couple months ago. I don't think it was even on my iPod back in November, but it's now worked its way up into my top 25 most-played.
• .
• • Mes Courants Électriques: Still JPVA!, which is still my most-listened to song of all-time in iTunes by far. I know JEAM is the 800-pound gorilla in the room as far as MCE is concerned, and there's also a lot of love for ACC in the community... but still. If JPVA doesn't win MCE: Thunderdome, I will be a very sad panda, indeed.

• • En Concert: Still "Gourmandises", which continues to mystify me, because I'm sure I listen to "C'est Trop Tard!", "Mon Maquis" and even "JBG" a lot more. The only thing I can figure is that this shows up in the rotation on shuffle mode more often. ("Mon Maquis" doesn't even make my top 25, oddly. Weird.)

• • Psychédélices: "Lilly Town" is still tops (if narrowly so), but the album version of "Fifty Sixty" has surprisingly overtaken "Decollage".

Huh, interesting. (Well, to me, anyway.) See you in another six months!
