To be honest I think we all can make it to Mexico . She'll have a concert for sure in this or early in the next year (that's a guess). Lots of fans and Alizée stuff. And Burritos . same here |

Ok I was thinking Alizée's upcoming album will have a spanish song right? Well wouldn't this be a good chance for her music to start playing in national radio stations? I mean spanish-speaking radio stations XD, since many of these radio stations play what is popular in Mexico,we could start requesting them for the new spanish song. It could be a start to get new fan support, and if it hits, we could start the serious promotion. I think places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago,Miami and NYC where spanish culture is really is it might work and hit. What are your ideas, comments and thoughts guys? XD

i love the english versions. i like Im Not Twenty more than JPVA. and im playing it right now. and i love the music part of em, and of course the vocals. but what seems a little funky to me is the words. they kinda make me wonder what mylene/the-writer-person was thinking when he/she wrote them. (i think she wrote them right?) im not asking for perfection, because obviously, english is not their first language and i can really relate to that. i know any french speaker would roll on the floor laughing at my french . i guess Lilly haters (dont get it either) exploit this about the words "making no sense," (<-- definitely not my words) and im not gonna lie, there was a smart kid on youtube that commented that you could fit "borderline retarded" into parts of the english version of Youpidou and still have it rhyme. that seemed rude and all of its synonyms, but slightly funny, i cant help but hear it when i listen to the song now. i think we should take into account what these people say, maybe it is better if we "promote" the french versions instead, cause potential fans might think shes "trying to hard" or something. we dont want to mislead anybody that she can and often does sing in english. she can. but she doesnt. but obviously if somebody dislikes her, its their loss and they're missing out on something wonderful. try not to cut my head off please? |

Jajaja dont worry Fall06, I get what you mean, ands its kinda true analyzing strictly the lyrics for Im not Twenty leaves us confussed in some stanzas, but its not her fault,is there someone to blame it should be the writers and the translators. Either way Alizée's voice is unique and perfect for this types of songs, just as she has sung La Isla Bonita, Hang up, and Love is All she sings very well in English.=) but dont worry man no one will cut off your head lol XD

Keep in mind that it is probably difficult to make english versions flow and rhyme in the same way the French version does. There probably isn't a clear translation from French to English in some instances. I won't cut your head off either. The lyrics in English are kind of silly. The songs like Isla Bonita written in English is really good though. Her accent is just enough to be cute.

thanks pepe lol. agreed again. i love her accent. its so adorable. its not everyday i call something adorable. i would prefer it if she kept her accent rather than working on it and correcting it Last edited by Fall; 08-28-2009 at 01:24 AM.. Reason: replying to an extra post |
