LT has been dying for a long time anyway. I am not surprised. I do feel bad for the few members that were loyal to the site though. At one time it was pretty good. AA has always been my favorite even before I signed up. I hope there are not similar plans for this site.

well LTUSA was not a site that catered to the off-topic unlike others and with Alizee off topic sites are the only ones that will work and not be dead for a majority of the time

Hm, true.
Seems you have found yourselves a new "pet" then
Could have been worse, Melissa is pretty interesting too, but probably even more unknown in the States..
It remains to be seen if a site with 14 active members can survive in the long run, but i wish you luck in acquiring new members.

site did not even start until July wasn't open to any public until August and has never been promoted

so what remains to be seen is when the active members there surpass the 40 or so active members here

and remember what you said about her popularity in the states say ummm... in 2 months and then in 6 months come back and talk to me then. besides how about their popularity in France?

you will be seeing much more of this lass

I like Melissa Mars, as well as Amel Bent, Nolwenn Leroy and Natasha St. Pier. I haven't gotten around to buying any of their music though, and some of it doesn't quite fit my tastes, even though I respect them as artists.

I wouldn't doubt that Alizée is probably the least accessible of the bunch from a fan standpoint, but for reasons too complicated to go into here I enjoy listening to her the most. Her music also gives me a lot of inspiration, which I can't fully explain, but nonetheless, it's true. Alizée may also do the least amount of work of all of them. But she is still the focal point of the final product, and seems able to inspire those around her to help her put together something I really like, and I give her credit for that.

Personally, I like the idea of web sites popping up in the USA promoting foreign artists who deserve to be heard. I wish them much success.

Lefty's points are always agreeable and true from a certain standpoint.
Reminds me of a few other forums that promote foreign artists not only in one other country, but often seven and more.

I agree.
And i won't forget that it was solely due to Alizée that i discovered french music at all, and this was really a step into a beautiful and previously unknown world. Nowadays i also hear Emilie Simon, Lola Dutronic, Mylène, Jenifer and others, and there is still so much to discover.

But Lili is still the most special of the bunch, like a "first love". *shrugs*
