You know what guys. I used to really enjoy coming here as it was always such a friendly place with lively but well-mannered discussions with some very welcoming and witty members many of whom don't post anymore.

However these days it seems that no matter which thread i visit it always seems to be either young lads talking about her boobs or Melissa Mars fans with a not so hidden agenda.Frankly i don't have the inclination to read this kind of stuff anymore.

It is for this reason that i'm afraid to say i won't be coming back. I will continue to be a fan and still look forward to the new album.

It's a shame but it is what it is.

I've only heard one song of hers, and my impression is that though it was clever it was without substance. The kind of thing that would best appeal to immature, obnoxious twits. Of course as I said that's only one song so maybe it wasn't typical. But I haven't been motivated to broaden that experience.

Let me respond before we drag this out another five pages... Deep made a good point about Alizée and Melissa by no means being mutually exclusive. Moreover there's no need to play some comparison game or put either down.

Can't say for sure without knowing the song, but I doubt it was. I'm no fanboy, but Melissa's one of the most intelligent singer's I've come across. Not crazy about her last album, but the prior one was a many-layered concept disc that I really loved.
