I think you are going be regretted. You would never get a dream of a smiling Alizee, saying "thank you for your support" in French, instead of a middle finger.

But I'll admit this: I'm pretty jealous myself of all you folks that have ordered already. Oh, to be young, and in love!

That perceived price drop is due to the strengthening of the Dollar against the Euro.

The financial mess that Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and Spain (P.I.G.S.) are in, is putting pressure on the Euro.

Thus making anything we buy from the E.U. cheaper as the dollar gains in value against the Euro. At the moment the exchange rate is 1.3632 dollars per Euro.

Jan 1st it was 1.4369
Jan 8th it was 1.4366
Jan 15th it was 1.45130
Jan 22nd it was 1.40910
Jan 29th it was 1.40030
Feb 5th it was 1.38430
Feb 12th it was 1.37310

Notice the trend ?

Though the base price has always been 64.99 euros. 37.27 for US shipping (!), for a total of 102.26 euros. Then whatever that is in dollars using the current conversion rate.

i have the mone to buy the album but i thinks its just way to much for an album, no matter if it is the collection edition. Just like most of you said ill also wait till march or so to buy it. Listening to the song that is released im sorda sceptical but ill be glad to be proven wrong.

I'm with you there dude, what the heck!? I was afraid it might have been something you did, but the same happened to me! I didn't see any links to any wallpapers, and you better believe I f*cking checked. All it says is to click on the link for exclusive content, and when I do that, all it gives me is a window that I can play the preview of Limelight on. Besides that, the page is empty. Nothin', nathan, nada.

Thumbs up Yes I did...

Bought and I have no second thoughts, no regrets and am really looking forward to it.

Don't have a use for the records, poster, or anything else than the CD - but I really, really could not help myself! I like the two songs I've heard so far, and I guess I'm just twitterpated enough to not give a ****! Besides, my head 'sploded again and I had no willpower to resist!

Its all wonderful again!

Good for you Ed !

I see according to the poll we have 32 members who are pre-ordering. That works out to 2079.68 euros based on the base price so far. If anyone else has pre-ordered and hasn't said so on this poll, please do. It would be nice to know how many from this site are buying it.

For what its worth, Amazon France was offering the CD only for pre-order. So of course I did. I am saving up for an iPad, so I am afraid I must think with my wallet and not my heart this time.

Hahahaha! No lie, a friend of mine actually does base his purchases on how many Big Macs he could buy for the same amount of money. It's become a running joke over the years. When he and his fiance put the down payment on their house, the first thing I asked him was "Wow, how many Big Macs is that?!"

Anyway...yeah, I preordered on day one, without waiting to hear samples or anything. Mainly, as others have said, just for the experience of finally being in on the ground floor for one of these. I didn't become a fan of Alizée's until around March or April of 2008, by which point Psych was already old news.

The price tag definitely gave me a moment's pause, I'm not gonna lie, but you only live once, and it's nothing a little overtime at work won't take care of. Fortunately, I'm single, and don't have anyone to answer to for it but me.
