yay, you're back!

You see the last two pics you posted? (Most likely from the Gourmandises era). I'm fairly certain that if I had a girlfriend like that when I was a teenager, I would have turned out a better person.

You bring up a universal truth. I mean, even now, if I could find a girl like her, I'm pretty sure I'll get my head on straight. The girls I know are really nice and fun to hang out with, but not quite what I'm looking for...

Yes! I know what you mean - I'm having the same problems. It's not that we can't find women who are cool, fun to talk to, smart, etc. It's just that there's that indefinable quality that we're searching for. Something Alizée-ish that we only know when we see it. E.g. The character Amelie in the movie Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.

I've got to be honest, some of these women I'm friends with are pretty freakin' awesome. I really wish I felt the same way about them as I do for Alizée, but unfortunately, attraction is not something that can be forced. Which is also why as I get older, I don't get offended if it turns out I'm not someone's type. It happens to everyone!
